New in the App Catalog for 22 April 2010 18

App Catalog If you found yourself disappointed by the general lack of newness in the app drop we covered yesterday morning, then brace yourself - that disappointment is about to be wiped off the face of the planet. For a few minutes, at least. The App Catalog hath redeemed itself, with more than a dozen new apps and dozens more updates. It’s a veritable appapalooza! Of course, there’s the usual raft of cruft, but every application stores has to deal with that. So long as we get plenty of useful stuff alongside it, we’ve got no reason to be complaining. Did we get useful? Well, I’m not going to tell you until you jump past the break and take a peak at the list of new.

New apps:

  • FillUps, Free, by Eight Bits Software: Simple fuel-tracking program with Google Docs sync and graphing.
  • GameCenter, Free, by GameFly: Get news, reviews, control schemes, videos, cheats, and codes for more than 7000 video games.
  • GuyRules, Free, by WP Consulting: The rules that govern the social behavior of men.
  • I Can Add, Free, by Kiss-A-Ham Software: Randomly generate two numbers and add them up.
  • iDialPlan, Free, by Itura: On-the-fly adjustment of international numbers (no more adding +3120 and the like).
  • Kid Blocks, $0.99, by Leithall: Physics-based time waster for kids, set up to prevent them from exiting to another app.
  • LDS Media, $4.99, by Appible. Thirty Mormon podcasts from LDS.org and Brigham Young University.

If you're experiencing any slow downs with this version of Block Breaker, try going to the Preference screen and turning off the background.

I experienced twice in on week a total wipe out of my phone after playing this game. When my palm profile reset everything this game was gone. When I tried downloading it again, my whole phone was wiped out. It is very frustrating and Im not sure if it has to do with block breaker but I am staying away from that game.

Wow! I'm terribly sorry about that. Please let Palm's technical support know about it. I'll also copy your comments and put them on the developer's board for them to check it out.

It's definitely the first time I've heard anything like this.

Of course, if you've just 'upgraded' from 1.4.1 to 1.4.1 on a UK/Germany GSM Pre it's not a question of how many new apps you've got today - more how many you've got left (61 at current count)

Aw man, Settlers!! I almost failed a few exams from playing that until 6 in the morning. I can practically feel my eyes crusting over in exhaustion from nostalgia.... just... one... more .... level....;-)

Um, the wizard is a feature to help you set up Wanderlife Budget, not the extent of it. It's a full featured budgeting program to help you track your income and expenses over time.
