App Catalog It’s time for another look at what newness the App Catalog hath wrought. Highlights include:

  • ActiveCard 2 brings a seriously major update to the ActiveCard widgets and launcher app. ‘Tis something impressive.
  • BATTLESHIP from EA ramps up the naval warfare classic with a whole new arsenal of weaponry.
  • Pronto Dial may be yet-another-speed-dialer, but this one brings a clean, simple no-nonsense webOS-styled interface into the game.

As per usual, there’s plenty more past the break. Check. It. Out.

New apps:

  • ActiveCard 2, $5.98, by forwebOS.com. New version of the ActiveCard widgets and launcher app, with multiple screens, calendars, notes, widgets, and more.
  • BATTLESHIP (Intl), $4.83, by Electronic Arts. (International) Take turns blasting across the water at your opponent’s fleet.
  • BATTLESHIP, $4.99, by Electronic Arts. (United States) Fire across the sea at your opponent’s fleet in the classic yet updated game of Battleship.
  • Dealert Free, Free, by Kevin Foreman. Enter a product you want to track, and Dealert will seek it out online deals and alert you when they’re found.
  • Extreme Launcher, Free, by KDB Productions. The app launcher, formerly known as iWebOS, that was unsurprisingly forced to rename and revamp.
  • Gamer Friends for PSN, $0.99, by Appstuh. Enter your friends’ PSN IDs and check out what games they’ve been playing and the trophies they’ve earned.
  • Infowars, Free, by JDF Software. Check out Infowars.com’s news, podcasts, and live shows.
  • Kalendarwochen, Free, by sourcestream. (German) Calculate the time between two dates on the calendar.
  • Pronto Dial, $2.50, by angryGoat. Fast and easy speed-dialing with categories and a no-nonsense user interface.
