Yesterday was kind of a big day at Palm, so we’ll forgive them for not going all gangbusters with the new apps. Even so, the small app drop brought some interesting bits along with it:
- Training Pulse helps you to calculate your exercise heart rates, including everything from aerobic to anaerobic to red zone training. ($1.99, by Ing.Gelbard; free version)
- Game Of Life is a simple evolving life simulator where you create and cultivate single-celled life. (Free, by omoco)
- Thermal Pad turns your Pixi’s screen into a faux-heat-sensitive screen where you can create interesting and sometimes beautiful patterns. (Free, by fabi.me; Pre version).
There’s more (not a lot, but still something) in list for past the break.

I do not understand why we are considering books to be apps?
Because they are released as individual apps. It's not like they're ePUB files in the store - they are legitimately webOS apps.
This calls for a need for an actual book app, where we can find all these book thingies (if u download them) in.
me either. Books are not apps.
books are cr-apps in my book. See what I did there?
getting out of an abusive relationship would have been useful 6 years ago. As an app for 4 bucks, not so much.
Rednecks vs Aliens - one of the best "free" time wasters I've found on webOS. Get it while it's free.
+1
I just wish that this list did some categorizing to at least sort their list. It's small today but on the days it's long and with those cr-apps in there...
