NFL Mobile Live Hits the Palm Pre 23

We finally have a new app, folks. We knew it was coming from a slip up at Sprint's site, and now it's here: NFL Mobile Live is included on the Palm Pre.
It's included free and since Sprint includes everything in their everything plan, it's free to use. You can track your team, get fantasy stats, track news, watch NFL video on demand, and watch video from the NFL network live.
Get it with your webOS 1.1 update

This is awesome. My bookie will be impressed. :D Thank you Sprint and thank you Favre for signing with the Vikings....soon.
I hope this was done by a third-party developer and Palm is just packaging it. The thought that Palm might have spent engineering time on this when the Pre is still missing a bunch of basic functionality is not an encouraging one for the Pre's future viability.
I hope this comment was submitted by a third-party commenter and koreth name was just used. The thought that koreth might have spent analysis time on this comment when (virtually) all Sprint phones have the same NFL mobile Live app is not an encouraging sign for the value of koreth's future comments.
I can't find this app in the "store" =/ I even rebooted my pre after installing 1.1
Can this one be deleted or is it like NASCAR?
OOH i'm an idiot! I found it know after readig jdale's post ^_^
Now, how can we remove this stupid app, and the NASCAR one too? I don't like being forced to install apps I don't want. I don't want the clutter on my launcher. I don't want the wasted storage space. I even don't want my $ going to licensing fees for such stuff.
I mostly agree. I don't care about their licensing one way or the other, but I really don't like not being able to uninstall these apps. Not everyone is a sports fan. This would be like forcing everyone to install a guitar chord finder or something like. NFL and NASCAR do not fall under "basic features."
I know this is not the time or the place, but who cares?
Why is it that wide receivers who act like attention-wh0res get called out on it, but QBs who behave in the same way are not?
Go Bears!
Holy crap... Please, Sprint, stop making these stupid, useless POS apps mandatory. Some of use just don't give a damn about football or race cars. Arrggh... so stupid...
Edit: Fortunately, it appears that the root Nascar app removal method works for the NFL thing.
i could really use a NBA Mobile Live app. cmon sprint..pleeaaasseee.
I'm with crxssi... I hope people who like football and car racing are having lots of fun with these apps, but I don't want them on *my* phone. I don't them using up storage space, screen real estate, or anything else...
And I don't want anything that I can't delete taunting me with its presence, either! Luckily, I'm technical enough to root my phone and make these things vanish... but the fact that they keep coming back when I update is getting really annoying.
video was bias. i get faster EVDO speeds than Verizon DSL. It was also typical that nothing was mentioned about this palm pre or even the apple iphone developer scalability.
This is a great app. There are millions of NFL fans and this will bring in many new Palm Pre owners to Sprint. I dont get it, why all the whining on here? Palm Pre needs all the apps it can get.
Go Chargers!
