Palm bringing one lucky Twitter user to SF for ThinkBeyond! 16

by Jonathan I Ezor Tue, 25 Jan 2011 9:40 pm EST

For those who wanted to join the HP/Palm webOS ThinkBeyond festivities on February 9th in San Franscisco, but didn't have the means to do so, now's your chance--literally. Palm just posted to its blog that it will be flying one lucky fan to San Francisco to attend the event as its guest. To enter, you have to follow @Palm on Twitter (as if you didn't already), and tweet “Hey, @palm - I’m ready to #thinkbeyond on February 9: http://tinyurl.com/thinkbeyond" (without the quotes). Hurry--the sweepstakes ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on January 31, 2011. (Full official rules here.)

Good luck!

Hey, when are they picking the winner?

6. RANDOM DRAWING: One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about
January 31, 2011, from among all eligible entries received by an independent judging agency, whose
decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Prize cannot be transferred,
redeemed for cash or substituted, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or
greater value at its sole discretion. Potential winner will be notified on or about February 1, 2011 and
will have 48 hours to respond to accept the prize.

Boo, they do have fans in europe, would been epic :P

Done!

not sure i really did it right but.... done.

Mine wont post :(

Entered. San Francisco here I come!

I actually read the official rules. Just so you know, you don't actually have to tweet that *exact* phrase. Be creative!

"Your Tweet must include http://tinyurl.com/thinkbeyond and must include the “#thinkbeyond” hashtag and must include the @palm HP handle to be valid. Tweets will not be judged."

So no, not that exact phrase, but it does have some requirements. And creativity won't *necessarily* help.

You have to be a US or Canadian Citizen? Not fair! Those living outside the US/Canada would need it much more than those within and whats a couple of more bugs to hpalm?

You just need to _live_ in the US or Canada... but Quebec is out of the running.

I think they simply want to make sure that nobody speaks french at their event.

I recently signed up as a developer (after the evites were sent out) and I live 1 hour from SF. How can I attend this event? Anyone?

too bad i dont use twitter. perhaps i should get with the times ehh?...facebook is one thing; i always thought it was a bit too much.

So want this..

if i dont win, it was rigged. ;)

I signed up for a Twitter account just for this. Think they'll be giving out swag bags?
