Palm holding Pixi Q&A on Twitter 17
We know a lot about the Pixi, but there might still be some questions about the slick little phone floating around in your noggin. If that’s the case, then you might want to hop on the Twitter and send Palm your question, because Phil McClendon, director of product marketing at Palm, will be answering questions about the Pixi through Palm’s Twitter account on this coming Monday (November 2) from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm (EST). All you have to do to participate: send your question to @palm with the hashtag #pixi included and Phil will answer as many questions as he can.
Of course, we have to mention here that @palm isn’t the only place you can get your Palm questions answered on Twitter. Every Tuesday night we answer questions on PalmCast Live (don’t worry if you can’t make it live, we release the recording a few days later) - to send us your query simply post it on Twitter with the #palmcast hashtag and we’ll hit it up during the Twitter Lightning Round.

Let's get a show of hands on your status with the pixi. Pre users that have/had no interest need not apply. Are you: getting a Pixi; were going to get a Pixi but bought a Pre instead; waiting for another WebOS device all together?
I personally had every intention of getting one then sprung for the Pre instead this month.
Can you throw up a link to page w/ Pixi specs? That'll make it easier to think of things to ask.
Looking at the Pixi, I don't see where you charge it, does this mean it comes standard with a touchstone charger?
You plug in the usb cable. No, it doesn't come with a touchstone.
probably hidden flap like on the Pre...
Watch this video to check out the AWESOME usb "flap". This is the ONLY thing that makes me jealous about it over the Pre I just bought a couple days ago, but I can certainly see how some people would like the form factor better. It's not necessarily better, but it's different... and not everybody is the same. Heh... THINK DIFFERENT!
Not sure why this video never made it to P|C, but it shows the awesome usb flab and the very much awaited Facebook app...

I would like to kno what's the big fuss about the pixi? From what I've read the pre is far more superior so why are they promoting the pixie as if its the next big thing for palm?? It sounds like a pre paid item palm is tryin to put out on the market. Please sumone answer THAT question
The Centro was a good, cheap hit for them. Makes sense for them to cater to that market again.
I just hope they answer back after with a more premium build of the Pre after the Pixi.
How would you make the Pre "more premium"? All of the build issues seem to be taken care of, as I have yet to see someone with an October build of the Pre name one, single complaint (tho the usb flap on the Pixi is about the only thing I could think of to make the Pre "more premium").
More than likely, the next Pre will only be an internal memory upgrade (16gb with 32gb option).
Q to Palm: "What drugs was your marketing department on when they chose the name 'Pixi'"

My mom's screenname actually has the word pixie in it. I'm sure she'll want one, but jeez... what kinda fairy does a guy need to be to purchase a Pixi? =-/
HAH... I bet Derek Kessler wants a Pixi!! :^P Only half-way teasing, Derek!
I'll be getting a Pixi for my wife shortly after it comes out.
Synergy and the webOS are great. She loves the Centro's form factor, and has little/no need for WiFi.
Well the Palm Pixi just got challenged read this

Oh man, Droid just pimp slapped Palm with that one... Wifi and all...
never understood the pixi. then again i didn't get the palm centro. personally i don't think the appeal will extend beyond people who are fixated on that candybar keyboard form factor. But don't think it will be big. Personally my second phone would have been a slim keyboardless version of the pre with a virtual keyboard. kinda how the g1 was a slider the magic wasn't and the touch pro and the diamond.
You guys seriously need to quit pimping this podcast. I come to the mainpage to scroll for news, and would rather not have to wade through 5 posts about the podcast.
I thought Sprint's policy mandated wifi on all smartphones. Should this phone not be considered a smartphone? Seems kind of silly to me.
