Palm Pre Emulator Up on Video 44

TheInvisibleMan of PalmPreForum.org has posted up a series of videos of the Palm Pre Emulator. Obviously not everything here is going to work exactly as it will on the Pre, ex. the emulator doesn't support multitouch while the Pre itself does. Still and all, if you're looking to get your weekend Palm Pre video fix on, this is a good place to start.

Does the twitter app come bundled with the phone? If not, where do you expect him to get it form? What do you think, they give developers access to every other developers work free of charge?

It is not. Not legally anyway. It's a leak from one of the early access people.
It's good an bad really. On the one hand, people get to see what's coming...which may encourage more people to want to develop on webOS. On the other hand, it means Palm will likely get stricter with what information they give to us...which restricts what we can give them feedback on...which could negatively affect the overall SDK.
Ahh...the complexities of our imperfect world.

Easy tuts, I didn't say you were a bad person. I just said it's a bad name. Don't offer up things in public if you don't want people to comment on them. Or were you expecting everyone to give you praise for coming up with that name? The problem with the name is that it's corny.
If I was out to hurt your feelings I'd have said something more along the lines of, "Your name sucks and you're an idiot for coming up with it." Instead I prefaced my statement with something along the lines of "not to rain on your parade," which means I'm not trying to insult you.
But since you want to take offense and call me an asshole, I'll give you something to be offend about. Your name sucks, and so do you for coming up with it.
Wait... your browser name was offering up something constructive? I like how you've decided that I've never offered up anything constructive without reading every comment I've ever made. If you had you'd know how wrong your sentiment is.

These are just a few of his gems. We should all defer to him for naming. He's had practice and is quite good at it.
Daniel, you need to calm down. You keep saying you're not upset yet you keep lashing out at everyone. To give your opinion on something *IS* to offer constructive criticism. Just because someone's opinion doesn't lean in the direction you were hoping it would, doesn't make it any less valid. Do you know what the world would be like if it was filled with yes-men/women?
When you say something like "Palm if you're reading this pick Vision" it sounds like you're being completely serious about the name. When someone says the name is a bad name and you defend it (yes, you defended it - stop saying you didn't!) people think you're even more serious. Furthermore, if you weren't serious about the name you suggested then you weren't serious about asking others to come up with a name. And, that brings me to my next point, you never actually asked anyone to come up with another name name, at least not until after you started getting mad. And even then it was more of a "since you think my idea sucks you do better (and we both know that's not asking for a name, that's taking your ball and going home.)" So nope, that wasn't the original intent of the thread.
Finally, when you post a reply to someone's comment, the comment that you replied to is the owner of the thread. In other words, that comment decides what the topic of the thread is. You don't hijack someone's comment thread then say "the point of the thread is ____."
P.S. I figured you could handle a joke, otherwise I'd have been more delicate when poo-pooing your suggestion. I apologize for any mean harm I've caused you with my mean sense of humor. And I'm being serious here, I really don't want to be at all responsible for the first fight I've seen in the comments on here.

Did anyone else notice that the Palm backup service, Palm Profile, is required. Did we already know it was a required service?
LOL. I didn't see why people got so worked up about creating a profile. There were people saying "what if I don't want to create one?". Don't get the phone then!
Agreed. People need to chill... I personally like the idea of built-in backup and remote wipe, but to each his own, I suppose.
