Fantastic video - Finally, one short very watchable video to send people to tell them why I am so excited about this new phone! Great job, Dieter.
Nice one.
Great video
Thanks
I thought it was going to have im MSN support?
Nope, just AIM and GTalk. Though, inevitably it will be added in the future by either Palm or a 3rd party app
Great review and you talk fast. So far the best review I have seen.
Looks like we have another iphone hog, Bonnie Cha from CNET actually said, "webOS lags no worse than Winmo." She also said having to slide out the keyboard when viewing a web page in landscape mode "is a problem." What's wrong with some of these people? Here is the CNET review: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10252807-1.html?tag=mncol;title
All I have to say is "Awesome video".
After watching engadgets videos I was annoyed from all the mumbling and nothingness.
I knew I could count on you guys to provide a deceent video.
Don't get me wrong, I love the phone and am switching to Sprint for it.. But the redundancy of the swipe-up and center button bugs me. Why have the button at all? Why not change swipe-up? Also, it certainly looks like it takes a little too long for apps to open.
They actually changed it TO the current behavior, which annoys me to no end. At CES, swipe up brought up the launcher immediately.
Although, not annoying enough that I'm not getting it, but still. :D
thanks Dieter. Great job...next time I'll wear a bib
can you delete applications from the Palm Pre. I cant see myself ever using the Nascar ap.
i was also wondering this cuz i got connect four but i don't want it anymore
You can delete applications that you download and install, but you can't delete applications that come with the Pre (like the Nascar app).
To delete an application, press and hold the orange key and tap the application icon. Press the Delete button that appears.
Wait wait wait wait....No video capability on the Pre?
I wanted to use the beautiful 3mp cam WITH a flash to record video...Can this be fixed by 3rd party app later?
Excellent overview -- this is exactly what I've been seeking. Thank you.
my pre got corrupted stuff on it so i had to do a full erase and it wont let me log into my palm profile
In the video he says that the email app handles 3 kinds of accounts: Outlook, Google, and Facebook. It also handles yahoo email, hotmail, and any POP3 account.
WOW.....The Palm-PRE.....WHAT A DEVICE! I currently own a Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 6.1 and a Blackberry and I thought they were the coolest......but the PALM-PRE...
WOW...O...WOW I'm definately IN LOVE!
Palm has definately re-invented it's self with this device and the OS Operating System!
DON'T THINK about buying the PALM-PRE.....BUY IT, you will DEFINATELY be glad you did!
Rick :)
