Palm Pre in Bones

We’ve seen the Palm Pre pop up in Bones before, but now we get a nice clean shot that we didn’t the last time. While out investigating aliens and murder and similar things, Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) places a call back to the office with her Pre. Why it makes an old-school speed dial sound is beyond us... Either way, video after the break.

All these TV show characters must be using patched Pre's because they always answer/hang-up phone calls by opening and closing their sliders...

just saw Palm Pre on Castle, ABC mondays at 10p, new episode, at 10:45 ish. definitely sprint version, has orange button. they are using it slider open and on speaker phone, Detective Beckett's phone she and Castle are using. (tough female cop chose a pre over pixi)

can't tell you what episode because it was over a month ago & I wasn't as "heavily" into the pre as I am now, but Gary from CSI:NY was using a Pre.

How come all palm sightings have the keyboard open while talking on the phone.
Just curious if it's for marketing or if all these celebrities do talk on the phone with the keyboard still down?

I think that I saw it on "Castle" last night as well. Like someone mentioned, Castle and Becket were both talking into the phone and had the keyboard open. Not a good enough image to identify it, but looked like a Pre.

@jlcamp7: I saw the Pre in the CSI:NY you referred to. Can't remember the episode either but it was a month (or more) ago.

What was really funny is I they were doing a 2-way video chat (a capability I'm not aware of on the Pre) and I happened to notice in the left top corner the app was "Flashlight". So they obviously just used the "Flashlight" app for a green screen which they then replaced with video in post production.

@ queueman. Haha. That's right. I had forgotten about all that. I think that's what made it stick out so much. I noticed the flashlight logo up in the left corner. However I didn't even think about the fact that they used the color green in the flashlight app in order to make it a green screen. That's pure genius.

May be an old article but for those keep tabs the Palm Pre appeared for what I think is the first time in the UK on a new BBC 1 show called Sherlock, based on Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes but in modern day London.
