Palm Pre on How I Met Your Mother

CBS’s How I Met Your Mother has stood for a while as a sitcom option that continues to gain viewers and yet maintain an ongoing story arc over multiple seasons (specifically, the titular culminating love life of Ted Moseby). But the most popular character, it would seem, is that of Barney Stinson (played by the perpetually awesome Neil Patrick Harris). Stinson, the ultimate bro, has a brother of his own James Stinson, played by the equally awesome Wayne Brady. And what does an awesome guy like him need? A Palm Pre, of course, all the better to show off pictures of the children with.

I was gonna mention that too, but you beat me to it. At first I didn't realize it, but then I noticed that the phone Nancy took away was a Palm Pre. It's sad that I still have to get somewhat excited to actually see my phone somewhere other than in my hand or pocket. I bet most iphone/blackberry/android users don't get all shocked and surprised when they see someone with their phone.

Big Bang Theory would be the perfect place to show off a Pre old or new... they could flex some muscle with a new Pre-view. 14 million people watch that show...thats what i call exposure.

the one thing is i don't think most people notice the phone in tv show unless they are predisposed to look for it. The only reason the pre in this one stood out when i saw it is cause of similar threads to this. But when it ain't a pre i never notice.

Pre and Pixi made a showing on The Defenders last week. I'm watching it now. I've seen the Pre again, not the Pixi yet though.

Saw the Pre on HIMYM. Great show! You'll see more product placement now that HP owns Palm. The Office has tons of HP monitors, printers, etc.

I think I saw somebody on TV using an iphone...they were playing the part of a ZOMBIE, or a sheep, I don't recall. It seems as though they were being lulled into a room where everything was controlled (lights, air, wall color, furniture) and they couldn't get out...scary!!

I was at the Grea t American Beer Festival in Denver a couple weeks back and I saw more Palm Pres than I think I ever have before. I guess home brewers love Home Brew!
