GREAT TURNAROUND!!! Derek is the man!!! I missed the beginning and was thinking I would see it until thursday!

Thanks a bunch

Don't worry the beginning was... pretty quiet for the most part haha

haha great title!
I am angry! My pre minus won't last another month and I have no webos device on Sprint to replace it with.
If my phone goes before the pre 3 is available on Sprint, i have no choice but the jump ship to the HTC Evo. I'm sure by the time the pre 3 comes out the Evo 3D will be released.

Wow, the post-show was classic, I couldn't have said it better myself! TKN, you're da man! There should be a vent session EVERY Palm Cast! Hahahaha.

Well done Derek for getting this out so fast. HP could learn a thing or two.

I agree to all the vent. ABSOFRACKINGLUTELY should Ruby come here. We are, and have been, the only thing he had going on for the past 2 years. Sure there are other sites, but no other brand has this quality/level/commitment on a site when viewed as per user. And I just want to say again...who cares about Sprint, I mean CDMA....really????...there's a HUGE world out past your borders. It was alluded to early in the podcast, but I want to amplify that we are here in the ROW, and would buy phones....except you won't sell them to us, and won't let us buy apps. Not a Pre2 sold east of the Caucasus...absolutely foolish.

yo that was a hot track in the beginning... i'm a fan of some electro myself :)

Hopefully HP listened to this last night or will listen to this now. Like said before, I have an original Pre and I highly doubt it will last until the Pre3 gets released. There's no way i'd switch to ATT when they get the Veer(unless they have a super cheap plan, which is highly unlikely). Palm/HP keep current supporters supportive of your products!

Appreciate your straight forward comments to HP/Palm. When Ruby devoted an hour to a face-to-face Engadget interview last Fri w/o releasing any new substantive details, I think it surprised and discouraged even the most loyal users, let alone the casual base or possibly users looking into Palm devices for the first time.

my plans were going to be buy a Pre 3 in the summer at Sprint and a Touchpad as well... If Sprint doesn't carry the Pre 3 I won't go to another carrier and I guess I will be stuck with an aging Pre and an Ipad. Looks like i will be Windows bound...

ohh btw derek... free fall velocity is not dependent on mass (weight). Terminal velocity equals gravity multiplied by time in which it falls plus its initial velocity v(t) = -gt + v(o). mass is not a variable. it kiinnnda is if u wanna calculate the wind resistance cuz the more it weighs the less the wind has an effect but it is quite negligible in this sense... sorry i did well in physics in college :)

Not sure who the angry guy was, but that was difficult listening!

The angry guy was 85% of the remaining webos users who are still holding on to hope, but do not see much reason to hope from HP.

NEWMAN KNOWS! I wish I could've seen the video of this, hahaha. GET IT DONE RUBY!

Way beyond getting pissed any more,,, just vote with your wallet is all we can do.... Somehow we will all find another WEBos device as you just cannot beat that OS... be it on a pad or phone.

BTW want to stick it to Sprint in the.... well I just figured how to replace Internet on mhy 3 phones with Clear.com.... works great and lowered my Sprint bill a lot!... paying money to Clear who ironically provides the 4G to Sprint. So now I have up to 8 devices that I can feed via real 4G network, and it backs up to 3G should 4g not be available... great service.
Nice to get even once in a while... Sprint go suck on sombodys elses check book....

In regards to the post-show - While I can understand Keith's frustration and anger, I have to say I'm in the same camp as Dieter and Derek. I just want to see HP/Palm release some new HW and start moving forward again.

The new HW looks solid but isn't great (no 4G, no expandable memory, max of 16GB of local storage, no camera on the back or HDMI out on the Touchpad. Really...?) It's a step beyond today's so-so HW though in that it looks like it's at least good enough to recommend - something that's hard to do right now given the Pre2's limited availability and so-so specs.

HP does need to follow through on making it right for "legacy" Palm users - hopefully, we'll be arguing about whether it is enough. And I can only hope they take the Samsung Galaxy cover-the-earth approach and get their products on all carriers.

Hang in there folks, the turnaround should begin soon. Stay tuned. I'm especially excited about what looks like a developing HP/Amazon partnership (Kindle/Cloud Player/etc).

Great as always! I was laughing when I did listen to it yesterday, as my app was mentioned.

I am the developer of the apps for SWR3 (German radio station). SWR3 plays ~85 english music. Top Ten from the 80ies till today. The exhibition app "Elchibition" also displays the song cover, title and artist, last song and next song, the weather at your current location and recent news (German of course). An alarm function to use it as an alarm clock will be added too with an update. I did also submit it for US, since there are a lot of germans living in US. I also spent 1 year in Maryland and did often listen to german stations via web.

@Dieter, Derek and Keith: I´d be pleased if you give it a try and tell me if you like it :)

I don't get it. If Kieth doesn't want to get a WebOS device, if he doesn't want the tablet, then why is he on the podcast. I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm just curious.

If he hasn't tried WebOS 2.x, if he doesnt want to, that's fine, but I and many others like it a lot and personally I'm looking forward to the Pre 3.

i agree, they need to get another pro palm person. i understand you want a little devil's advocate, but he's a downer.
