Finally!
Hey i missed the livecast, just did some listening, and i'm part of the cast! don't know if i should be happy, or take a pre-central break for a bit. its like that time i was really good at tekken and then was like, what if i put all that time into being good at actual karate, and took karate lessons instead.
is there a karate lesson for the internet?
Very good edition. Who won the prize of the evening?
I thought you guys were bumped off the air....thank goodness that was not the case.
OMG, I'm working Tuesday nights and miss the show, so it doesn't come out until Sunday? What's so complicated about taking a recorded show, editing it, and posting it? This information is all outdated.
Easy killer. Stuff happens and stuff gets pushed back.
Doing a great job guys.
Thanks for posting it. I wonder when the Palmcast banner will be updated...
Not to be picky, but time to swap out the centro with a pixi on the image. lol
OK - let's get down to it. One of the emails you read was all over the lack of PIMs. (thanks, whoever wrote that) Let's be clear - why did Palm have such a great marketshare in the pda market? PIMs that worked and worked fantastic. Nothing else was even close. Then the Treos come - PIMS still were fabulous. OK - then the iPhone hits - great toy, wonderful screen, finally decent web access. But PIMs? They were and are crap. Did Macintosh ever have PIMs worth anything? Not really. Then Palm brings in - who - Apple guys. So do the PIMs matter - NO!
Does ANY smartphone do PIMs well. NO! It's all the social media. Fine - that has its place. But there is a humongous desert in the fine-tuned org area and Palm, which OWNS it for years, throws it all out the window for a river rock. Now, no prob for me that the Pre is stylish and WebOS could be the bomb over them all. But the one area they had dominance and leverage, they toss to be a stylish iWannaBe. !@##$ on that. Where are the PIMs? Where is the smartphone that is acutally - you know - smart! OK - end of rant, but maybe not end of search for quite some time.
