Enjoy the show but I'm wondering why you want to keep the show under an hour in length. Why the rush?

looking at the show notes it seems that the brewing anger over in the GSM forums wasnt mentioned :(

Anger about what?

check the GSM section :P
its a variety of things, from bugs (like time not correct ever!, alarm issues, calls getting dropped - there is a thread on this with error reports) to hardware issues, to apps (cos we have none, just loads of soundboards and crap!), regional settings (like the dollar sign instead of the pound sign when pressing currency) etc etc etc.

Derek and Friends: I was listening to your recent podcast. You guys talked about webos patches that made it easy to perform lunar restart, etc. You can achieve the same thing by simply holding down alt key +sym key + r. This key combination will perform a lunar restart.

Actually, that does a complete device restart, which takes much longer than just a Luna Restart.

I got my Pre last Friday. Been annoyed over the lack of a scrub bar in the Music app. Now I find out that it was there all the time. Thanks for the tip!

I took Derek's recommendation and did the megamix patch, It is awesome. I set the bright to 25% and turned everything off with ease. I have been running 2 hours so far downloaded 2 new apps and normal morning use and the battery is down to 91%

GREAT RECOMMENDATION

Update - 4 hours battery down to 74% still normal daily use, typically at this time I am placing it on the touchstone getting ready for my lunch break (very heavy usage)

I've not commented before and was driven to it by the fact that despite comments like "there's not much happening this week" - but then the podcast lasts well over an hour.
Now you've gone and spoiled my rant.
Thanks

The most recent show was much better paced with less padding.

Keep the really techy stuff for links in the shownotes and keep it to an hour max. Hey Palm are great but they are not a huge company, there's only so much newsworthy stuff going on.

By the way, I'm in UK and I do appreciate your concern for non US users. Its a shame that Palm has such a low profile over here. I'm hoping the "Plus" versions arrive here soon (loving the tethering!) and a whole new pile of apps please.
