PalmCast Live is tonight, 8pm Eastern 5
by Dieter Bohn Tue, 06 Apr 2010 9:24 pm EDT
Truth: We're back with another week of PalmCast Live tonight at 8pm Eastern. Scuttlebutt: Dieter and Derek are on deck, Keith is iffy. Truth: we have a lot to talk about with webOS 1.4.1. Fiction: no unicorns were harmed in the making of tonight's PalmCast (stupid unicorns).
Got questions? Tweet them with the #palmcast hashtag for our lightning round.
We're going to give away the Seidio Innocase Surface for the Palm Pre on the live show - in your choice of six colors which, we gotta say, are nicely understated.
8pm Eastern tonight. We'll see you there.

I'm looking forward to it.
save the unicorns!
I don't have twitter so I'd like to ask my question here. Any leaks on when we can expect new hardware design? My phone has the oreo twist issue and pushing down on the corners doesn't help like it used to. I'm hoping for hardware/design similar to the nexus one but of coarse running WebOS.
I have been stalking here at PreCentral since you have been operational (registered today), waiting for the Pre on Verizon. I am about to plunge (especially with the recent V deals), but I admit that I am also drawn to the Motorola Droid. Any thoughts / comparisons you have (even if biased) will help me choose.
I am particularly interested on feedback on the following:
Voice commands: (appear great on the Droid, absent on Pre) - any chance the Pre will see this anytime soon?
Navigation: (again, great on Droid) - I have no interest in Verizon's subscription service, rather I want access to Google's turn-by-turn (or comparable). Pre has this, but noise in the forums puts a question mark on the Pre in this category.
Document Editing: Until your last round-table, I did not realize that Docs to Go was not Pre-friendly. As a business user...
Virtual keyboard: Honestly not all that important, but would be nice to have.
SD Card: Okay, nothing we can do about this with the Pre unless the ++ is getting ready to ship; I am mostly just venting here.
Thanks (in advance) for your answers (or for directing me to the appropriate threads in the forum to answer these questions).
P.S. I am one of those archaic folk who are still running my Treo 650.
