The PalmCast is tonight, at 8 PM, and live to boot 19
We know our hiatus from last week left you starving for more, and we're here to give it to you. PalmCast Live returns tonight for episode 100, and we have got some stupendous prizes to give away. Yes, prizes, as in multiples. But you've got to tune in to win.
Not only is the PalmCast back, but so is Keith, with his internet tubes reconnected. And Dieter's going to be reporting in from sunny Las Vegas, site of the 2010 CTIA conference.
With all this news, you might think that we'd drop the whole emails and Twitter lighting round deal. Then you'd be wrong! Tweet us your questions in with the #palmcast hashtag and we'll do our best to provide long-winded answers that have nothing to do with the question.
So, yeah, you might want to be there. Tonight. 8 PM Eastern time. PalmCast Live.

I'll be there (Wyatt Earp from tombstone) Ill Be there!!!!
I predict more doom-casting on the horizon...
well u had a good run Palm, but unless u can wow us palm fans wit a new device wit 4g, then ur outta luck, EVO 4G here i come!
all I have to say is have you guys seen some of the phones on that ctia show ya that phone coming out for sprints first 4g phone ya, it has some serious specs lik 4.3" full touch screen 1ghz processor 512ram camera on front and back 1.3 and 8 mega pixal danm I want a palm phone that has atleast matches or beats those specs "HOLLA!!!!!!!!" palm
If only webOS would have that kind of hardware then I'm sure it would fly out of the shelves. The pic keeps getting dark for Palm if they dont come with a comparable hardware. And I dont mean 4g cuz even as good and impressive as it is I dont think it will make much of a difference right now, but the rest of the specs are fast becoming a standard that Palm should TOP or at very least catch up... SOON! and by that i mean August as late
Palm please dont make me move to the Evo 4g. Give me some new hardware!
evo also has hdmi connection give me a web os 4g like that please 4.3" screen I'm drooling.come on palm do something tomorrow or I think it's game over.
(1:37PM PST) "Today we're announcing the first 4G Android smartphone!" - Sprint
If you're an English and/or Business Marketing junkie like me (lol) you know that wording is always crucial...and specifics tend to lead to bigger and better things ;)
The EVO 4G looks really nice and the specs are killer...but if it's not running the most INNOVATIVE operating system then - ehh!
Palm's new device is on the edge of being unveiled/leaked and it will be the "FIRST 4G WEBOS SMARTPHONE!"
ya that's one thing can agree on it's def close to being unveiled there goin to give the pre plus a chance first may be a month or two the bommmm it's out and I really hope for a earth shaking phone my question is will they have the money to drop a phone wit that kind of spec power?
OT, but I have a good story to share. Anyone who ever developed the "charging port" crack that grows from the charging port, onto the Pre screen, should appreciate.
Yes, I had this problem happen to my phone, too. Two weeks ago, I complained to Sprint, who said it was covered under the 1-year warranty, but that I had to go through Palm to process. Palm didn't agree, and said this wasn't covered. After talking to a couple "supervisors", they relented, told me to mail it in under-warranty, and within a week-and-a-half, I had a crackless, perfect Pre arriving in the mail.
If anyone else is putting up with that crack, don't. Call Palm and politely don't give up until they relent. They will, and you'll be happier for it. And do it soon, before the warranty expires.
Palm....quickly give me a reason not to go to EVO 4G. Match it, or best it or I will buy it! Been very happy with Pre (purchased on day one at Sprint Store) but Palm seems to be behind an eight ball the size of the moon and needs to catch up.
sorry and sincerely

Yeah. I don't want to give up WebOS but unless Palm throws a slab on the market like the one at the link below chances are in June they will have an exodus of users. Some people may say who cares...let them go to Android but how's that going to help Palm or WebOS?

I so agree with you, I'm feeling seriously tempted as much as I love webOS. Palm better come up with something. I so wish to have that kind of HW running webOS! and Palm please realize you DONT have to be married to physical keyboards! keep a phone or two with it but realize that virtual keyboards are the ones selling right now.
A WIFI VOIP app would be killer for people who do make the switch. It'll keep more devices in use even if it's only basically as an Ipod Touch type device with WIFI.
must......resist......EVO 4g..................ahhhh its killing me!!!
love palm webos but that new evo wow the best phone sprint has ever had been with sprint for 10years finally something they can brag about come this summer it will be hard to resist having one that monster looks owesome come on palm do something please don't want to leave you
Seriously, if Palm doesnt release a new *killer* hardware this summer the EVO will kill the Pre/Pixi at least in Sprint. If only the Evo would run webOS it would be a no brainer. right now it just got me thinking about switching to android, an I've resisted since well... June 6 when i got my pre
Agree. Don't care a whole lot for Android, but the hardware will win me. I'd love to see same phone running webOS.
I love webos, but Andoid isn't much worse. Especially with Sense. My Pre has been giving my problems since Sprint attempted to repair the headphone jack. Please come out with new hardware before switch to Andriod and possibly never come back. How does Palm continue to not learn their lessons? They have never been good at hardware. Partner with HTC, please!
