1st.

I hope to stick with Sprint. But I may go to Big Red if the new device is worth it.

no way I love sprint and I might just wait till the next pre for sprint if it's worth it other wise am switching to a 4G device

I honestly don't know if I would leave Sprint to follow Palm. & I hope to never have to amswer that question!

what a wank off still no flash

I honestly think there should be some sort of app for parental control, with flash coming i can see how some parents might be concerned.

Wow, if it actually happned and Palm was not at Sprint?

No way for ATT.

I'd prolly run out my contract to June then weigh:

VZ, cost and broken features and how strong is Palm/WebOS at that point.

VS

Sprint and whatever droid or MeeGo devices they have at that point.

In actuality, I'd probably trial them head to head, and may the better combination win.

I'd milk my Pre for all it's worth and eventually end up with a Droid. I love Palm and WebOS but I'm not going to spend an extra $250+ per year on VZW or ATT.

There was a great app for PalmOS back in the day called KidPalm methinks...seemed to have some useful features as I recall: Configurable list of app access/non-access w/ password override; simplified UI; limited underlying OS access...what it didn't do was activate upon reset automatically, which any parental control app for smartphones must do...as well as preserving the basics of great webOS UX and UI... It's a blend of patches in all new areas (hiding icons, apps, menu items, etc on a comrehensive basis...basically like a MegaTheme,) that then allows you to switch back and forth via a password activation to toggle ON/OFF... I agree this would be a fabulous "app", but likely requires substantial support from Palm folks... I imagine, for example, you'd want a configuration to have the phone OFF, or ot turn OFF text mssging (Gawd, I'd love to take away teen's texting for two-three days as a consequence!!) etc... You get the idea. It's all possible via patching with configurations, but a BIG project.
