Pixi Plus free on AT&T, so long as you're cool with blue 20

There are two variants of the Palm Pixi Plus available on AT&T, and the only difference up to today was the color of their backs. Today you can add price to the mix, as the bright blue-backed AT&T Pixi Plus has dropped to free, while its black-backed counterpart remains at $49.99. Both prices are, of course, for new contract customers. AT&T joins Verizon in offering the Pixi Plus for free with a new contract, leaving Sprint holding their older Wi-Fi-less plain ‘ole Pixi and still asking a cent under a Ulysses S. Grant for one.

More Common Sense Features that we don't have to install a patch to have!*
Bigger screen(slightly)*

Better slider(yes keep the Physical keyboard)*

Why not get the Blue Pixi for FREE and pick up a Black Touchstone Pixi Back $10 Bucks .. Best Buy

Seriously, whatever pathetic minute requirements that you all have that has not been met by Palm this past year is a pitance that you most likely wouldn't pomy an ounce of your own time or money in the delelopment thereof. Which is precisely why Palm doesn't give it to you. There's no profit in feeding a crowd of whiny beggars.

I simply cannot comprehend why Sprint is keeping the Pre at $150. I mean, I just bought one today, but it should have been at most $100 a couple months ago... Does Sprint want to sell just 1 Pre per day? If you could get the Pre Plus for $30, Sprint is shooting themselves in the foot big time.

Why should they drop the price, you just bought one.

Until they stop selling them and their stock runs low they will leave it where they are.

Plus they do not want it to compete against the EVO, if it were EVO at 199 and Pre at 49, that would cause people to have to stop and think about it. Right now with a price difference of 50, I think the sheep will pick the EVO all day long.

Lest you say "Why should Sprint care?" They care because they want to claim serious success with the EVO. They had hope they would be able to do that with the Pre, but build quality forced them to abandon that plan.

I'm not even sure if sprint even wants to carry the Pre line iof phones anymore! Try going into sprint to buy a new phone, they'll direct you to something else.

A couple days ago I walked into the store and I started looking at a Pre and the rep came over and said about 10 reasons why I shouldn't get this phone. 6 of them had no basis whatsoever and included stuff like "it doesn't shoot video" and "it only has a couple hundred apps" and so on. Morons...
