Pre ad premiering on Facebook 9

Remember that giant Facebook page thing we saw being used for a commercial a while back? Well, it looks like that’s coming full-circle with the first ad for the Palm Pre set to debut on Facebook on Wednesday, June 3rd. Not only that, but Palm will be releasing some behind-the-scenes videos of the making of the commercial, all on their Facebook account. Here’s what they had to say about the commercial:

"The ad was inspired by the way the Pre phone lets you effortlessly flow among all your life’s diverse passions and dimensions. All those connections (friends, coworkers, family, etc.) are represented by characters in a picturesque landscape. As our main character touches the screen, types, and interacts with Palm Pre, her world adjusts. A beautiful dance of invisible organization."

It’s an interesting mental visualization, we’ll have to see how they managed to pull it off in full production. Palm says in the post that they’ll be launching a national ad campaign “in the near future,” which seems like a rather obvious statement with the Pre a week away.
