If you happen to live in Canada and were for whatever reason turned off by the $49.95 price tag for a Bell Palm Pre at Wireless Wave, we hope that the holiday season at least has you in the mood to spend $24.95 for the same phone. Yup, it’s a sweet holiday sale at Wireless Wave, where they’ve hacked seventy-five loonies off the $100 asking price from Bell. As you would expect, the standard three-year contract is still required, but at this price you’re grabbing a Pre for just about what your Yankee Doodlin’ southern neighbors pay for the Pixi.

....wow. This is just getting ridiculous now. Palm needs to step its game up so that people who would be tempted by these prices would actually have a phone that can exceed expectations.
Wow, I thought US folk had bad wireless plans. **3 Years?!?*** That's amazing. Is that pretty standard for Canuck plans?
Pretty much yes.

It is a no-brainer phone deal of this decade perhaps.
is it me or is the apps in the palm apps catalog kind of pricy
Too cheap, making the pre seem like a piece of crap. Even the Omnia2 is $200... windows mobile, please.
Reason they're clearing them out is because it's the CDMA version. Bell shot themselves in the foot by launching it, then subsequently launching the HSPA network to replace the EVDO network. Why would I want to sign a 3-year contract for a phone to run on a network that would be superseded in a few years? They really should've pushed to get the HSPA version instead.
I bought mine in August for 150. Can I get some money back? I guess the good thing is it gets more units out thus ensuring Palm's survival but the flip side is it conveys the message the phone is only worth 29 dollars. Or maybe next offer will be we will pay you to take a Pre.
