Pre-order a Pre - Now, if you dare 12

Web retailer MobileCityOnline might be jumping the gun just a little bit here, but we'd be remiss if we didn't tell you that they have the Pre available for preordering now. They list the retail price as $599 and their price for $399. ETA is listed as unavailable; however, just the fact that it's listed at this point is a great indication that, yes, we might be seeing this sooner rather than later.
There doesn't seem to be any new information about the device except those listed prices -- well they do suggest that phone-as-modem tethering works, but honestly, we can't say if it MobileCityOnline is just trying to be ahead of the curve or if their "no ETA" pre-order is really worth a shot.

Mobile City has been advertising this phone since before Jan 24, 2009 (which is when I first saw the ad). I don't think they have any inside info on anything they are just trying to get the jump on everyone else... I don't have any reason to think they are trying to scam anyone at this point. I think "MobileCityOnline is just trying to be ahead of the curve"
Four hundred bucks WITH a contract?!? Keep dreaming.....
I'd looked and haven't seen any mention at all of contracts or service plans on their site. So $399 looks to be a no-contract price. (Not surprising for a site selling mostly unlocked GSM phones--the Pre looking to be one of the few exceptions.)
Whether $399 will be the no-contract price in a Sprint store, of course, remains to be seen.
I don't trust this. I wouldn't put $400 on the line for this when I can just wait for the launch and buy it the 1st day it comes out.
