Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus now available on O2 UK

Our English friends can finally jump onto the Plus bandwagon, as the chaps at Engadget have noted. The Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus are officially available on O2 UK, even through their website. That’s assuming you weren’t lucky enough to grab one a day early. Interested customers can snag both phones for free depending on the tariff (plan) you select. The Pixi Plus can be had for free with any plan, with plans starting at £30.00 a month for 100 minutes and unlimited text and data. That same plan will get you a Pre Plus for £99.00, if you want it free you’ll have to spring for the 600 minute £40.00 a month plan. Sweet, eh?

any word on off contract unlocked price ?

why do they get the pre and pre+ but us sprint users are still getting the shaft with only the original. i want my ++++++

lol.... Stop crying I love my pre it looks dumb without the button...

Are we Sprint Palm Pre owners being punished because sales of the Pre sucked on Sprint? Right now i'm over the +Plus+ for Sprint and looking forward to new bigger and better hardware.

Come on say it, Like the HTC EVO huh? Don't worry 6 more little ol days and it will have all the shit that palm was suppose to have last year.I'm looking forward to video chat, and voice to text..:)

Actually no Not the EVO, I'm sticking with Palm. I love WebOs. I'm waiting for a bigger better and faster WebOs device. Hopefully in the next coming months.

I love my Palm pre also but i'm going the other way come june 4th until WebOs comes out with a new device.

you should stop wasting your time.

Your gonna be the first one in line come june 4th

Sprint was the first carrier to get the Palm Pre and seems like Sprint going to be the last carrier to get the Palm Pre Plus.

At this point sprint probably elected to go with the Pre/Pre Plus's successor which could be announced soon. Why confuse things with switching midstream to Pre Plus just for a few months for marginal improvement? Business-wise it doesn't make sense. As the first US adopter of Pre, Sprint may get the first 2nd generation webos device.

Got a Pixi Plus unlocked from germany to the UK but it has the QWERTZ keyboard

O2 is also having a pretty sweet half-off sale on their Palm accessories. Not selling the Touchstone on its own, but you can get the Touchstone bundle (with the probably-useless back cover) for 17.50, which seems like a great deal.

ok someone get a survey/count of:
1. How many Pre/Pixi (non+) leaving Sprint in June for the + or other device.
2. How many of you Pre/Pixi (non +) users staying & playing the waiting game....
the final count not as important as % leaving.. Will give Sprint an Idea of increase in CHURN for June & July.. Maybe that will move them or NOT!

I switched to Verizon and bought Pre Plus and I'm very happy. Phone is much better, built quality improved and I have now hot spot with 5 GB data which works very well for me. And I did not get even one time "To Many Cards Open" error.
I'm using 800Mhz patch and it works great.

As with the Pre, battery life is terrible but I have two touchstones, one at my place and one at my work place and my phone never died because of battery :D

One disadvantage - evil Verizon is blocking GPS signal for 3rd party apps and even with a patch it doesn't work well for me.

I still wonder about the sales figures of the PRE Plus. Especially in Germany. Because there was absolutely NO advertising about it.

I asked a guy in a vodafone shop and he mentioned that people have shown interested in a lot of several smartphones, mostly the HTC's seem to be very popular in the moment. But not the PRE Plus - noone knows anything about it.

I love my PRE and I hope so much that with the strong mother HP the PRE and webOS will be pushed, get more developers, more market share, more apps.

In the moment you have to hide with the PRE because you have to admit that there are quality problems with the slider, the app catalog is not really full or interesting and noone knows anything about it.

The tariffs are too expensive, especially the Pixi Plus. A fair tariff would be 300 minutes, unlimited text and data for
