Pre Release Date to be Announced May 19th? 30

The Boy Genius Report is claiming that Palm and Sprint will "make a big announcement in the Wall Street Journal on May 19th."  It sounds as if the intention is to finally announce the release date (and price, we hope) for the Palm Pre.

Tuesday, May 19th.  Get yourself a WSJ.  If Walt Mossberg of said publication has a Pre right now and the big news is he will publish a review on the 19th, expect to find the entire PreCentral.net team in a corner, gnashing our teeth and digging our fingernails into our palms with jealous rage.  Just saying.

BGR gave us the rumor about bestbuy getting the pre early. As for the information I will have to see it to believe it. Just another rumor with some salt.

Seems about right actually. No point in paying for a bunch of commercials to get everyone's attention 30 days out. The average consumer's memory and patience is too short.

can't wait!!!!!!!!! but i have a best buy gift card so i wanna use that to buy it... i hope best buy releases it on the same day. anyone know about that?

Mossberg may have a pre to review, but he is still bummed that he hasn't been accepted into the SDK program yet!
