pReader is an eBook Reader for WebOS that is currently supporting plain-text, HTML, PalmDOC, MobiPocket, eReader, ePub and Amazon AZW files. The DRM schemes of MobiPocket and eReader are fully supported, whereas the ePub and Amazon DRM isn't (yet). The files are read directly from the media partition, and no prior conversion is necessary. For example, if you want to read books from the Gutenberg Project, simply open www.gutenberg.org in your device's browser and download the book in a compatible format. As soon as the download is finished, pReader will be able to read the book. Alternatively, you can download them via PC and transfer them to any arbitrary folder on the device's USB disk. Reading in landscape mode is fully supported as is customization of the text-size and appearance. If you leave the application or select a new book, your reading position will be stored and will be returned to if you reopen the file. You can also add custom bookmarks to each eBook.
Please do not rate this app with 0 stars if it doesn't finish downloading or fails to install. We have no influence over that. Please contact Palm directly if you have installation problems.

This is the best ebook reader!
why did you take it out of homebrew???
I love the app...but i would love to also see a "page-flip" feature added. To look like you're actually turning pages in a book.
I just used this app to download and read a couple of books from the King County library online. Eat your heart out, Kindle! :)
Great ebook reader.
So is there a support page for this app? I like pReader but I can never find what was changed/added/fixed in the updates.
While it would be nice if the developer could get (permission?) DRM's ePubs to work, the reality is that there are now so many different ePub variations, it drives me nuts. I'd vote for Adobe's ePub, but since that appears to take ADE /Digital Editions to load on my desktop, I'm going to stick with MobiPocket and eReader as much as I can. I did wonder what the latest update might have added?
How do we donate to help the work to upgrade and make this even better?
Thanks so much for the work btw!
somehow it popped to fullscreen on my touchpad. How do I get it back? Need doco on gestures. How do you configure it? How do you increase font size?
I'm having trouble opening a book in pReader - I've tried converting it to epub and mobi and neither works. They both work great in my Kindle and in Calibre so the files do work...
When I try loading them in pReader, (Add book to library) the spinning white circle goes a few times and then freezes.
I just acquired a palm pre plus and have a touchpad coming, so I just installed this on the Pre, nicely done. I have an epub file that I created with Jutoh that it is freezing trying to load. My other Jutoh created files all seem to load ok. Would you like a copy of the epub to check out?
