30 Dollars? Gee...thanks...
It's not even cash... it's more like an IOU (store credit to HP.com)...
You lose all your data and HP gives you money to buy ink cartridges for the HP printer that you don't even own. Great...
I love webos and my Touchpad. If you are still using a Pre, do your self a favor and dump it and get a nice Sprint Epic Touch 4g. Its time to move on and treat yourself! I did!
So how you like the big G's data gathering and surveillance?

WebOS did some snooping as well. Here is the choice: share your interests with an advertising company that gives you something you can use, or continue to support a frauding thief that reneges on most of their promises and doesn't "make things right" without making things better for themselves.
Friends don't let Friends buy HP.
Bring them to their knees, their sales are crumbling, stock is dropping. If we can get them down to $15/shr, Acer or Oracle can take them out!
omg, are you a republican? How much info can they get? And if your concern with privacy? Every site that you visit knows you are there. No one knows who you are and they do not care. Stop being so paranoid.
New message threading stinks. Is there something better?
Or make a Frankenpre 2... With Pre 3's costing more and more as they get scarce, Pre 2's are affordable enough on eBay. A little reassembly and a metadoctoring, and you have a phone for the next couple of years.
After owning and getting rid of a Samsung Moment, I just can't advocate Samsung as a phone manufacturer. As soon as it's released, your device is dead to the world, and that's why I got a Pre in the first place. At least software updates were coming all the way up to the release of Pre 2.
If a manufacturer doesn't want to update devices up to a year after release, they don't deserve your money. Period.
LOL @ complaining about a manufacturer that releases a phone that is instantly dead to the world while suggesting that a consumer make a "Franken Product" out of two phones that are dead to the world.

So you're saying it's a bad idea to take the shell of my Sony Walkman tape deck and put the innards of a MiniDisc player in it? No way man! No way!
For some reason, your post sent me way back in time to this: http://jennifersjunkylife.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54eef7a1e88340133f35e4e1c9...

Never buy the "B" products of an industry leader.
If you buy a Pre 2, you have a phone that is dead to the world, dead to the carrier and dead to the manufacturer. That's the futility hat trick! Thank God for home brew so the spirit of WebOS can live on for those that just can't handle full powered hardware with full powered o/s and ecosystem. If you're going to build it yourself, build something that was strong back in 2010 at least.
predog, you are either stupid, completely immature or in the 3rd grade. Maybe all 3. Your posts scream "look at me! I'm an idiot!".
Whatever Matty, whatever.
Girl hose japanese office pantie
The truth hurts predog is right your the idiot holding on to webos its done no hope for hardware or a future
Think Big, Think small, Think Beyond...
We will make things right.
Why should it be cheaper than the iPad if its better.
Nope... My Pre has long been in extended relaxation. I'm using a Pre 3 now.
