Yeah, the fngers seriously creep me out. Dieter is awesome. I hope I don't get thumbed down for this, but I've never really liked Derek. Maybe that will change with time, I don't know. All the same, it's a shame that Dieter is leaving.

I do *not* concur. Derek was the Spock to Dieter's Kirk (and TheKeithNewman is the McCoy). The only time I wasn't happy with Derek was when he made fun of us (me?) for wanting to continue using Classic (FOURTY DOLLARS, COMPATABILITY WITH THOUSANDS OF APPS, hello?). Other than that, it's been fun listening to him. He just needs to get a bit more comfortable behind the mic, and I think he'll do great...

I love Derek and think he is great. And perfect for the job. He does seem to be a loyal hp/palm fan, but that is what makes him perfect for the site. Congratulations!!

Isn't Derek the same one on the podcast who was complaining about WEB OS?
Well it looks like Dieter has also abandonned the platform.
I think Rubenstein is the next one of this boat since Palm is officially dead and HP is looking to licence the technology to whoever. Especially after what Microsoft is pulling with Windows 8.

As far as I can tell from posts and podcats Dieter is and will remain a huge WebOS fan. but I'll leave it to those that know him to comment with accuracy there.

What I don't understand is the fingers! some inside joke? somebody please explain. Are his "blogging fingers" being cut off? and why does the pre seem to be happy about remembering that? :)

Dieter is still the Editor of Androidcentral....I guess that constitutes personal reasons y he can't support Webos anymore...what's the deal with only two stories being published today? Are we already seeing the results of the new leadership?

I have often skipped the podcasts cause I've been quite satisfied with Dieter's level of * humor.

Hopefully things will take a slightly more professional turn there now ...
