I agree. I "feel" this comic.

great idea

'Twice the phone that the original PRE was!'

Those are freakishly long fingers!

That's what I was thinking!

pres are small lol

Ahaha just noticed now.

No! Pre is a freakishly small smart phone. When can I get one of those pre doodle phones? ;)

that's the evolution gene working to keep us homebrewers compatible w/ the best smartphone :)

lol I like it!

Why the sad face? Shouldn't they be happy being merged?

This was the original plan. Before the buyout. Now with HP's money Palm might use something better than glue!

Let's just hope that glue isn't needed to keep the Pre 2 together like it was for the Pre ;]

Sad note: those are palm pre minuses. yay!!
Double a palm pre's resolution is 640x480... not sure I'd even be happy with that anymore. nice doodle though :)

Sweet! It's the new PreTablet!

Just put the Virtual Keyboard on one and you're good to go!

"Gizmodo is reporting that the new Pre2 has 3D video capability with it's new dual cameras. This comes after we found a Pre2 in a dark alley last night and have begun digging into the new device. We are still puzzled with the Toaster app."

Isn't this how they designed the iPad?

Exactly How They Designed The iPad

Cute.

Now if they could use the power of both to perform one task, that would be incredible! And I only see "GLU" on the glue... Is that a reference to Glu Mobile?

As always, great comic!

Hahah I love it :)

Typical HP designers....

Talk and surf at the same time! Twice the battery life! I think one should be turned the other way so we get a front-facing camera. And the other should be rotated 90 degrees so we get a horizontal sliding keyboard. iWhat?

No, to be a Pad you'd have to glue 4 of them together.

Wow, is that Sprint's Pre+...... 1?

hey a dual high res screen that opens up or just flips completely open with touch screens on both sides so you have touch controls on the back side like Sony and Apple have been wanting to do so your not constantly touching the front.. Like scrolling options or in Sonys case the game control buttons on the back (see engadgets website on the new PSP mobile device that was talked about this week) and when open like a super mini netbook yes the keyboard could be on the one screen in landscape format.

if HP/Palm could figure out how to utilize this idea before Apple and Sony then they would be a step ahead and might be able to set a new curve if it turns out successful.

it's just a pipedream though. Not likely would happen.. There's got to be some kind of design problems if Apple can't figure out how to incorporate this feature they want.

but it's a funny doodle.. I like it.

wait I just thought about my retarded idea.. Wouldn't that make the Pre2 basically into a Nintendo DS with Motorola Backflip capabilities.. Just with rear controls?

revolutionary but they need to re-establish themselves before going that far ahead of the smartphone curve.

Just better reception and I will never get another phone!!!

is the tape included? If so, I'm in!

:-\

uhhh how do you slide open the keyboard(s) with the tape in the way?

uhhh.... ya don't!

This just gave me an idea on a phone that's small as the pre and flips open to reveal the folding screen that HP's CTO Phil has been talking about. It could be 6" to 7" when opened and when closed you can put it in your pocket.

Don't get why PreDoodle always draw the Pres to be so square?
