probably would've been slightly funnier if it was a veer since it would be nearly impossible to land a "low-blow" on a tiny device

I guess I don't see what the big deal is. I mean, it would have been nice and all to be able to watch youtube vids embedded in a webpage. But honestly, that wouldn't have been tops on the list of things webOS was missing, even 2 years ago.

Two years ago?? My Pre- can barely loop an animated gif even overclocked. It'd would never be able to play a video. Palm really screwed up when they spec this damn phone with only 256M RAM. Morons.

HTML5 has always been a good friend to *web*OS. Lack of decent HTML5 support in IE is what's been holding back most websites utilising HTML5 features such as video tags.
