I see the monster is 'buttonless' -- so it's a Pre+ FrankenPre!
LOL. I think this is the best one yet.
I like how the FrankenPre has cracks on the bezel; there should be one running into the screen.
i would have to agree..would've been more awesome if they had done scratches all over the screen and made them look like stitches...but definitely like...

it does have hope. I just hope there will be an easier way of getting the 2.1 os soon. The way outlined on wiki is simple for those who know what their doing but for me it was a no go. Tried through cy... No luck. Any ideas?
The toughest part is getting the setup needed, whether it's installing Linux, Cygwin, VirtualBox, etc. If you're already on Linux or Mac OSX, it should be very easy for you.
My recommendation is to go on the forums and get help with the part that you are stuck on. After getting everything properly set up, it's just a matter of typing in a few commands. They have scripts now that make the process extremely easy.
yea I reached a snag in the install of Ubuntu with Snow Leopard. I need to hit those forums as well, since I can sacrifice this Pre- if it went south, which I doubt it would. It's all foreign to me.
UPDATE that, I have 2.1 on Sprint Pre-! Woo, looks like another donation is in order! Thanks P|C for connecting the layman with the awesome Homebrew community!

As of today and the update Wiki page (thanks a million WebOS Internals), I am posting this with my Bell Pre- running 2.1.0 and it runs excellent!!!. Believe when I say this...... I am a dummy when it comes to this. FOLLOW WIKI STEP FOR STEP!!!!
If I were to buy a Pre 2 and swap boards with a Sprint Pre- would I still be able to use things like Sprint TV and Sprint Navigation on my FrankenPre 2?

Is anyone else having problems with the precentral app?
I'm using it now. The only thing I've noticed is there hasn't been a new article since this was posted on friday.
My app loads the precentral web page.
scroll to the bottom & tap on "mobile version." Then restart the app. Worked for me before.
Thanks TheFishGuy. My phone is rooted, clocked, patched and anything else I can do but never thought of that. I was stuck for a week. nice to have the speed back to see when new stuff is posted.
