Glad
France is having so much fun with the new Palm Pre 2...(twiddles thumbs)

Twiddle we must until Verizon breaks the GPS in the Pre 2 and launches the phone.

"Vive la France!"

Yeah, we can't rush these things. Verizon is trying their hardest to:
1: break the agps
2: install crummy Verizon apps
3: create a secret cave in their retail stores to hide Palm products so that no one buys anything that isn't a "DROID"
4: charge more money

Am I the only one who would pay good money to see a Pre (the 2 or better yet the "next new thing") on T-Mobile? What bliss that would be

Why wouldn't you just go with sprint? You can use the uberkernel on the Pre minus to pretty much give you the same performance as a pre plus.
Sprint has better plans than Verizon.
Sprint has the ability to roam on Verizon towers, free of charge to the customer.
Sprint gives you free turn by turn navigation.
Sprint has sprint tv. ( although they have removed a lot of the channels i used to watch :( )

I just don't see a reason why not to go with Sprint.

A couple of months ago I would have agreed with you.

Now that we learn that Sprint has opted to give it's early Pre adopters the gigantic middle finger by not picking up the Pre 2 (with double the RAM, double the storage, better design, and undoubtedly much more solid hardware since you really can't get much worse than the current Pre Minus) - I'll have to politely say "Fsck Sprint".

If my wife wasn't already addicted to her Sammy Epic 4G I'd jump back to Verizon in protest. :/

lol @ ''creating a secret cave '' in verizon store! I stumbled upon the Palm products in a darkened corner of store.

Not certain about the secret cave thing but this phone is likely to be released the same time the Droid Pro will be. Their attempts to make the GPS proprietary to VZnav is a big fail.

Rofl, so true. Appears Sprint and ATT users will be doing that much longer though.

lol yeah well the pre plus came out for us in june. it hasn't been that long, i'm not worried i'm not attracted to the pre2 THAT much, its nifty but i'm not dying to own it. I'm hoping for a slab device hopefully before my upgrade next august :P PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALM! lol

Meanwhile back at at&t...

We have nothing...at least Verizon customers know they'll get the Pre 2...

Yup! Pretty muuch. *cricket.....cricket*

I love that secret cave comment :)
Yeah I think that it would be cool if T-Mobile picked up the pre 2.

Does WebOS 2.0 still require the Pre/Pre 2 to be disabled when it goes into "USB mode"?

Yes

hahaha I love it! Even though I don't care for the pre 2.

I'm giving Palm till the end of January to announce a super phone. Hopefully with a 3.5"-4" high res screen, long battery life, auto focus camera, 1/2 the thickness of the pre. Otherwise i'm going to start looking at my other options :(

Hi,

I've made a post on Palmpre France on this comics : http://www.palmpre-france.com/PreDoodle-La-France-s-amuse-avec-le-Palm-P...

Nice work !

These things are pretty lame, just getting that out there.
