Yeah thats right.  Just keep extracting the webOS value out of everything else. Kind of reminds you of the ol' Tommy Boy and his pretty new pet part doesn't it?

But Tommy likey! Tommy want webOS-ie!

Actually I wish I got my hands on one of the bluetooth touchstones they were nano-seconds from releasing,..... *sigh*

One day I noticed the clock was off center, And I was like, Huh? So I instinctively swiped left and poof! Magic clocks appeared!! lol

Meg: Let's think about this for a sec. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box for a new OS and updated haredware? Hmmm, very interesting.
Customer: Go on, we'er listening.
Meg: Here's the way I see it. Leo puts a fancy guarantee on a box that this is a marathon 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.
Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Meg: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy (Leo) might come by and leave a quarter with a new phone and updated hardware, am I right?
Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?
Meg: The point is, how do you know the fairy (Leo)isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model software to do nothing" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into HP's house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up with no phone or computer. I seen it a hundred times.
Customer: But why did he put a guarantee on the box?
Meg: Because Leo knows all he sold ya was a guaranteed piece of **** That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and line it with Apple scent and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.
Customer: OK
Meg:Ya! Richard we did it.
HP goes on to sell millions of tablets, phones and computers with a webOS eco-system.

Tommy Boy...

I really hope they see the value in keeping webos alive or even just keep thumping out that hardware and let the people run android or whatever. its the 2nd best selling tablet and it would be #1 if they could continue to build and sell at this price... flood the market, sell some apps..... PROFIT.

We're screwed (The webOS community that is). Meg herself said she was going to put the stock holder first not the customer that gives them the money for their products. They still have their priorities backwards. Sad to say it but webOS is toast!

You do realize that she was the CEO of eBay, right?
She will squeeze the maximum value out of webOS in
any possible auction.

To sell more WebOS devices, HP just has to do more promotion and publicity, thats the Key.

The company put the value in its products, HP decreased the WebOS value, users are keeping alive the beloved OS in blogs, developers are more and more interested in WebOS

HP has become its own enemy, not WebOS, not even PSG.

WebOS addicts are keeping it alive, developers are more and more interested in this great OS, potential customers are waiting for TP and Pre3 while Board are thinking of ??

Should be thinking in production and WebOS sales, every minute are lossing a lot of money, I stunned like many of you.

Meg looks like Benjamin Franklin in that picture.

That being said, I feel WebOS is all but dead at this point as far as HP's concerned.
