Why would anyone want Android on a Touchpad? Gimme webOS on an iPad 2/3.
I can think of so many reasons why.
How many reasons you want? Non buggy browsers, lots of them. Easy network browsing and file transfer. An OS that is not so inefficient and buggy that it doesn't have to get overclocked by 50% and patched to be bearable. Apps and games actually available and not 7-8 dollars each.
Pretty much.
So, a better approach would be a PDK that runs an android app layer. So the apps would run natively under WebOS. Apps, sure. Crappy environment, no thanks.

Ipads are toooo expensive for what they are, I would rather have WebOs on a more affordable and reliable tablet, like an android one...

Apps, apps, apps....having Android opens a hole new world up. Not much going on in webos world. Just got my Touchpad, and all old apps run in a phone emulator....boo! Give me an Android emulator instead!
I feel bad for precentral, webosroundup and the rest of them....getting harder everyday to find news and quality content for these sites.

it matters most when I can't find any apps to do my work as efficiently as I can do on my Bionic. Though I will not wipe out my WebOS, I will only opt for android if it's a dual boot.

it can only be a dualboot. Go to cyanogen. They are the ones getting this thing ready. It's amazing how much faster android boots up than webos........
Well I'm not very techie but I just wanted to say I read this stuff at pre central every day and I love all the talk. You all make me giggle. But I have had my HP TouchPad since July and I Love it! The stuff you all talk about helps me. Except when you talk under the hood then I'm stumped, but who knows I may pick up something. Oh I sent my android back didn't live up to my TouchPad.Just saying! I opted for the palm veer instead of Iphone for now but left my options open.
