PSA: TouchPad cases dirt cheap!

So you're a TouchPad owner. Maybe you purchased it full price or maybe you waited until the now legendary fire-sale of the TouchPad after good ol' Leo Apotheker killed webOS hardware. You might even be one of the hardcore webOS users that paid top dollar for a beautiful white 1.5GHz  TouchPad with a whopping 64GB of storage! Regardless of how you got your hands on one or how much coin you dropped on it you love your TouchPad all the same. Because you love your TouchPad you want to protect it with the best case possible. However sometimes a good case can be a bit expensive so we all tend to look for the best deal possible.

Well if you're looking for a deal look no further than HP's very own Home and Home Office Store. Here is a quick list of all the great deals they have right now:

  • HP TouchPad Slipcase: $1.99
  • HP TouchPad Power Charger: $4.99
  • HP TouchPad Case: $4.99
  • Timbuk2 Envelope Case: $14.99
  • Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve: $14.99

The best part is all of this can be had with free shipping. So act quick folks because we are sure at these prices supplies will not last very long!

Leme just mention this neat leather case I recently bought.

http://amzn.to/Jy1AQh

It's on Amazon Germany and I bought it as a replacement for the once-so-great but now so ugly and worn-out OEM Case. This is not one of the many leather cases that were originally produced for the i-thing. This is genuine TouchPad stuff and all the gestures work perfectly.

The leather texture has a great natural look (doesn't look like Patent Leather, like so many others) and your TouchPad goes in and out quite easily (which is great for all Touchstone owners)

It's not cheap, though and I haven't found it somewhere else, so far.

Thanks guys i just got a new case because the edges around mine are bending away from the tablet.

Thanks for the tip! I needed a new case -- the old one was all streched out around the power and volume buttons.

Thanks for the pointer

HP also has a leather tablet case for sale for $5, but it's not listed in the Touchpad search results. It looks like it should be able to fit a Touchpad.

It's now sold out. :(

I managed to score 3 chargers (1 more for home, 1 travel, 1 office).

Oh yeah, and I also scored a couple-three Enyo devs. They were a gift with purchase.

Long live webOS and the entire community.

Gonna rock my Palm devices for as long as I can, BTW. No bandwagon jumping from this guy.

Great catch!
It appears that the HP Touchpad cases are prone to streching. I just ordered a new case to replace the original which has warped at these specific points.
Thanks for the tip.

That's a great deal on the chargers since they are the more powerful ones. Thanks for the tip

Haha! Just snagged three cases. Thanks!

Nice, can round out the collection on cases. Now where can I score another touchstone for my Touchpad?

People are selling them on ebay.

Any place else selling the touchstones for Touchpads?

Thanks for the story! I ordered a case. Never got one before, went with a thicker leather one all these months (hmm...almost year!). It's protected but the tablet slides down in the frame when I have it on my touchstone or set up to stand on its own. It's fine, but for five bucks, I'll check the case out.

funny i just ordered myself a touchpad case the other day for $3.99 on Amazon

I just picked up two more chargers and the leather case mentioned from previous poster. I had to search for "tablet" 5 bucks for a real leather case, is not bad at all.

Snagged a case (even though not very high quality can't beat for the price). Yep, the TP Cases seem to stretch in all of the narrow portions (charger and volume button areas) and is also now starting to peel away from the sides like some of the pixi backs tended to do.

I ordered a couple a while back. I had the stretching around the charger, but more problematic for me was the crappy velcro wearing out... Hard to use the keyboard on the go if I can't stand the thing up to a decent viewing angle.

Thanks Ryan! I picked up several things.

Thank you! Even being an HP rep I miss out on good sales unless I'm looking. I even almost missed out on the “fire sale”. I have a nice case but have always wanted the OEM one. My Father-in-law has the OEM case and I liked the feel of it. I picked up two of the slip cases seeing as I figured they would work with this case, to keep the flap closed. Also I have been wanting a spare charger. Is there a car charger? I can't remember and it wasn't in the list. Thanks again for pointing this out.

Hi everyone, i'm in Hong Kong, can I purchase it and request for shipping to Hong Kong? Thanks

Hp is on my "no-buy" list.

Thanks! I scored one folio case and an extra charger. $10 for both is half of what I paid for my original folio case alone.
