Public Radio contains webcasts from over 250 public / non-profit radio stations here in the US. National Public Radio (NPR), American Public Media (APM), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), etc. When first launched, it will automatically find the station closest to you (using GPS). You can also browse all available stations, and save your favorites for easy access in the future. The station database is downloaded automatically, and can be updated without having to wait for a new version of this app! So if a public / non-profit station you like isn't in our database yet, email me at us@allurstuff.com and I'll put it in ASAP! Thanks! And remember to support your local public radio stations!!! NOTE: This is for public / non-profit radio stations only! There are no private / for-profit stations in the database! Sorry!!!

Great app. I'm using it all the time already.
Great App! The developer is doing Public Radio a great service by giving people an easy and direct way of both listening to and donating to Public Radio right from their Palm! No sifting through commercial stations! I emailed the developer with a station that was not listed, and he emailed me to let me know he added it within and hour - and there it was!
Would love to use this app, if only it didn't require geolocation to be enabled (per the package management install notice).
Fantastic App. --Quick download and easy to use. The author also quickly loaded an additional public radio station I wanted to access.
I also agree that this application is better being just public radio stations.
None find it ironic that location services are being used to serve ads while you listen to public radio?
@Jon Josserand: geolocation is used only to auto-load your local station, not for the ad. (admob doesn't even support this feature, AFAIK) but yes, i know the oddity of having an ad on a public radio app. all i can say is: if there wasn't a $50 app submission fee, the ad wouldn't be there. i'm willing to volunteer my time to write this app, but not straight cash. and at the $.50 to $2 a day the ad brings in, rest assured i'm not getting rich off public radio. =P
