Quick app: Quell; relaxing puzzle game coming soon [video] 20

Puzzle fans who like games like Ancient Frog and Droplets might be excited to see a new game coming soon to an App Catalog near you called Quell. Although we have not had hands on playing time yet, it looks like it involves sliding a water droplet in lateral moves to get to all of the little items without exceeding a certain number of moves. The game features a soundtrack of gentle music by composer and pianist Steven Cravis. The environment between levels is that of a living room in an old country house. It looks to have very good artwork and a nice musical score. It should be a relaxing, take your time, kind of puzzle game that will make you think ahead and plan your moves. Developer Fallen Tree is putting some finishing touches on it and will soon submit it to the App Catalog. Be sure to check out the game play video after the break.

Great More Games... The app catalog is just depressing

Games are usually what people want to see.

wow, this looks interesting! Nice elevator music! ;)

Sold.

If I was a monk trimming my bansai tree, I would have that music on repeat.

Why does it gotta be a monk trimming a bansai tree? ;)

we need some more personal finance apps! Think: easy money from the android market

As an iPhone user, I love these app reviews. PC has become the best place to discover old iPhone games. :)

Does anyone even try to make a native webOS app anymore?

All the time. All of my stuff is native and I'm making a game series as well that is exclusive to webOS.

I have about a dozen apps in planning and development stages, so webOS is definitely continuing to get native apps, but you wouldn't know since you don't own a webOS device, do you?

dandbj13,

Do you have anything constructive to add or are you reduced to taking cheap shots. And you wonder why you get the "zealot" tag?

With Apple products selling at Target (or is that "Tar-Shea") and Wal-Mart, and the brand under assault from Android, you probably have better things to obsess over.

@C-note

Well he's a "bridge dweller" and that's what they do. Though I am curious why he's still under OUR bridge?

Is that a politically correct term for TROLL?

I believe it is... I love when people pretend they own hardware they dont and troll around :D

I like that, and will have to remember that. Bravo, a new PC term. Do you have a PC term for a "Bridge Dweller extraction team"?

I believe in this particular case, it would be "iTroll Killer". :-) (just for kicks as I really don't agree with calling anyone a troll)

PC Bridge Dweller Extraction Team, mobilize!

Interesting that I just read a comment from you in the forums about other people being "passive agressive". :-)

Anyway, this game looks like the type of thing I'd play though I'm not much of a gamer (and despite the fact that it's an old iPhone game). Seems relaxing and challenging at the same time. I like it.

You kind of have a point but why are you lurking on the webOS blog if you're so happy with your iPhone?

At any rate, if you don't have an iPod Touch, it doesn't really matter if it has been released on iPhone or not. The point is, if you're only a webOS user, now it's available for you.

And finally, give webOS some time. It's still very new. When its user base develops, the developers will come along too. Though any really good game is probably never going to be limited to just one platform. Why would they want to minimize their income potential? It's very easy to port to webOS, so why not do it? If it's successful, why only sell it on one platform? It doesn't make sense financially. Especially when it's free to develop for webOS.

Great another game that's "not available for my model".

It's not available at all yet. I'm sure it will work on all devices when it is released.
