Quick App: Shots 2010 8

Hearkening back to an era when PalmOS devices were the rule in hospitals, Palmdoc.net has recently released a port of the incredibly popular vaccine reference app, ‘Shots.’ Shots made its first public appearance as an application on the PalmOS platform over a decade ago and quickly became a must-have app in the healthcare sector. Shots2010 provides all the same useful information in a convenient visual table, including vaccination schedules for children, adolescents and adults, and “catch-up” series for folks who have fallen off track.
This is a full featured port of the original, complete with lots of references. Tapping on a vaccine name brings up a detailed information view with indications, contraindications, disease images and more easily accessed through dropdown menu navigation. There’s even information on adverse reaction reporting available through the main pull down menu of the app. If you’ve worked in healthcare in the last ten years, you probably already know how useful this app is on busy clinic days. Even if you don’t, you can check it out now for free in the app catalog.

Thanks, downloaded
I had a look at it but find it unfinished(i thought it was in beta), the buttons need to be resized and there is no on screen text given of what you are looking at. Other than that i suppose it is useful but I was hoping there to be a way to check off which ones you've received, from what clinic or doctor on what date. It would be helpful for people who, for example, need to see what shots they have/need for international travel.
If the screenshot is any indication then this is one of the most unattractive applications ever.
Thanks for the quick app mention. This is an official port of Shots by STFM (http://www.immunizationed.org/)
All the content - the screens, buttons and information are determined by the original app and functionality the same as the online version. I do not have permission to change the layout or content.
Shots 2011 is now out in the beta feed.
@rkguy- this is for clinicians (doctors, nurses, other healtcare providers) not patients
if you like Shots 2010, you should see Shots 2011 by the same dev!
Great App!
shades of residency at children's hospital with my palm pilot.
Wish they made Growth again. (the app with growth charts).
There's a growth app in development at the moment - in the PC forums medical section.
