Quick App: Tanked 10

by Tim Stiffler-Dean Tue, 27 Sep 2011 2:29 pm EDT

With a game called Tanked, you know it has to be fun, right? This app, created by Robinson Technologies and ported over from iOS, brings the familiar tank-fighting experience to webOS devices at no cost. Just because it's free doesn't mean it lacks in features, though. Tanked allows for some fun times as you fight your way through one multiplayer battle after another with other Tanked players.

Complete with defensive power-ups, buffs and war-beagles, Tanked isn't a bad game to have on your webOS smartphone, even if just to fill in the little bit of downtime you have throughout the day. The controls do take a bit getting used to and the game itself isn't very fast-paced, but sometimes that exactly what we want when we're looking for a game to play at the end of the day.

You can grab Tanked for free from the webOS App Catalog for your webOS Smartphone by hitting the link below, and then let other players know you're around to play in the comments. There's always a battle to be won, so start those engines and get out on the fields of justice.

Most of the leaders on the leaderboard are on WebOS, with the rest split between android and ios. Go touchpad users, represent!

Works great on the Pre 3!

Showboat. :D

Any way to aim up or down in this game? Was frustrated in that I couldnt seem to change the angle of my barrel...

There is no need to ever change the elevation angle of your barrel.

This game is absolutely addicting. Playing real players instead of a computer is a ton of fun. It is fast, responsive, and engaging.

You can create private rooms for just you and your family/friends, or join an existing team, or play solo.

You can even play with up to 4 people sharing the same physical Touchpad (each person controls one of 4 quadrants).

Can the screen track THAT many fingers at once? I thought it was up to 2.

It can track up to 10 fingers. The 4 player 'split screen' mode only requires 8 fingers.

i love this game!

Great, now can show off our cross platform capability.
