Quick App: Time Lapse Maker 14

Time Lapse Maker ($1.99 in the App Catalog) is a slick utility that allows users to utilize the camera to create, as the name implies, time lapse video sequences. Configuration options include initial delay, interval, and audio cue. Unfortunately, Time Lapse Maker doesn't automatically create a video sequence out of the captured images, but there are a number of free and inexpensive utilities, such as Windows Movie Maker and Apple's Quicktime Pro, that will accomplish this task. When all is said and done, you'll end up with a video similar to the one embedded above.

Cool, looks like fun. Now I'm trying to think of something to use it for. Hmm might be fun while staffing a table at a convention. The driving video is a good idea, but anchoring the phone so I don't have to hold it while driving might be an issue.
looks cool, but the description says that it doesn't create time lapse automatically... can someone post some details or screen shots? If I am understanding this correctly, this requires that all of the individual pictures be imported into a video editor (I use Pinnacle for WIndows) external to the phone to actually assemble the pics and generate a stream. Is that correct? That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I want to be sure. Of course, I'd really like an app (even a different app of web service) to do that from the phone because it is soooo easy to upload video to twitter, facebook, etc. And it's cool to do it on the spot...
But, as long as I'm clear that I have understood what it does... I will definitely buy it. I could have used it today at a graduation ceremony while my wife was using the video camera...
I have probably purchased 20 apps that haven't turned out to be useful, I'd like to avoid that going forward. One thing I like about the app store for the jesusPhone, it has a try and delete option to prevent noobs from buying junk from Dijit or Brighthouse with no way to get a refund...
Thanks!
"Is that correct?"
Yes
Pretty cool idea. I would have shown a better video though -- barely any of the pictures lined up... they mostly looked like unrelated pictures thrown together.
Maybe capture someone building or painting something? A flower growing? Hmm, perhaps the problem is that it's your phone, and shouldn't really stay useless for days at a time.
ok, now they need to add a place to attach a tripod to my Pre+
I hope that he will make this version free and then I would pay for one that assembles the video on the pre, or even make just a free one thats only a time 1fps .5fps ect only options and charge for the cool sound things, that way people can try it.
WHY? I have a video cam on this phone that gives me my video effect. Is it really worth trying to take repeated photos for a lapse effect? Some things just are stupid. I would never want to do this with a cell phone cam. My digital cam will do just fine for these special effect type things.
The current video app on the Pre doesn't do time lapse as far as I know.
I think people do not realise that you can take photos for several hours which you could then make a movie from, instead of filming for 6 hrs which would cause your Pre to run our of space...
You could make something like this...
