Hey folks, a quick reminder here: PreCentral is giving away ten copies of Classic - Motion App's Palm OS emulator for webOS - and the contest closes this Saturday upon release of the Palm Pre.
"How do I enter?" you are probably asking. It's actually pretty darned simple: all you've got to do is head over to this thread in our forums and leave a post for what Palm OS application you simply can't live without. The good folks over at Motion Apps were kind enough to give us ten copies of Classic for this giveaway, so throw your app in the ring and get started emulating!

You guys need to proof your posts/reviews better. There are a lot of grammatical errors.... "you" instead of "your". "Through" instead of "throw".
Other than that, keep the info coming.
who really wants these old apps?
Are you serious? Sorry man but you must have never used a Treo and seen the potential of the apps on it.
Well, it's tough. I'd like to have (and am willing to buy!) versions of a number of must-have Treo apps rewritten for WebOS.
But at least for a while, they aren't available yet. I look at Classic as a transition tool. I'll be pleased to not need it at some point in the (hopefully near) future.
who really wants these old apps?
Have you bothered looking at all the responses? A large number of these programs will probably never get converted to work directly with WebOS.
I have a treo 700p the apps are O.K. but id rather see what they can come with for the WebOS
I agree that we should get some fabulous new apps. I was just surprised that you said "who wants those old apps anyways". Almost everyone wants their old apps to work on the Pre but like you said, we should get some new apps too. : )
yes I have a few good apps on my treo 700p but I have only had a few apps that i really enjoyed but im curious about the new apps for WebOS should be very interesting and im excited
How much is this app. I heard somewhere that is gonna cost $150.00. A little pricey eh?
For you, $150. Everyone else will pay about $20 to $40.
I never owned a palm product before this pre so I'm not sure what was on the treo and such to make these applications worth while.
Could someone enlighten me as to why I would want them now? Just curious.
You won't miss what you never had, but there are some seriously cool old apps going back over several years that people are still using, because there is nothing better out yet.
Read through all those responses and see which old apps get mentioned most often. Then Google the one's that might appear interesting to you.
NVBackup is what I LOVE on my treo but the new Senergy system should replace that right? Can't think of anything else that is a "cant live without" type app...
I actually have two apps I will really miss:
1) Stand Alone Inc's QuickNews
Its my preferred automatic RSS reader & pod catcher.
2) NormSoft's Pocket Tunes Deluxe
Based on what I'm hearing regarding the current state of the MP3 player when listening to podcasts, I'll use Classic running PocketTunes with its podcast friendly skin for playing the T/P Central podcast, as well as all the other podcasts I listen to.
I'm sure they will eventually get apps to replace them, but in the mean time, ...
