Remove unwanted web searches from Just Type [webOS 2.x & 3.x] 5

This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.0 and higher

When you visit a site that uses the Open Search protocol on its site, you will get a dashboard notification letting you add that site to a Just Type search. After a while, that list can grow quite large and probably contains many sites that you are obviously not interested in adding to Just Type. While you are unable to selectively remove these sites from the list of available searches, you can wipe them all out by clearing your Browser History. To accomplish this, open up the web browser app, swipe down from the top-left to access the Web Application drop-down menu, select "Preferences" and the tap the "Clear History" button. If you then re-check your Just Type preferences, you will see that all the non-active website searches have been removed from the list of available searches. Unfortunately, this will also clear your browsing history, but at least it will clean up your Just Type preferences, too!

looks like were running low on tips

And then after you clear you browser cache you can enjoy being re-notified by the next 25 sites you visit that there is a Just Type search extension waiting for you.

Just Type is so maddeningly funny. The search extenders are only helpful if you know what your search is about beforehand. Precognitives give Just Type high marks; the rest of us - not so much.

IS it anyway possible to disable just type notifications for particular websites?

there is a patch on preware that eliminates the notifications for new just type search sites.

they still go into your search history, but you aren't annoyed every time you go to a new site.

'disable search engine browser notifications'

works like a charm

What is success? I think it is a mixture of having a flair for the thing that you are doing; knowing that it is not enough, that you have got to have hard work and a certain sense of purpose
