Save Image from Web To save a picture from within a website, just press-and-hold the Option (Orange or Silver) Key and click on the picture, then select "Copy to Photos".  Although the Photo will be saved to the root USB directory (/media/internals if viewing from Internalz or via Command Line), note that it will show up under "Miscellaneous" from within the Photos App.

Nice tip. Keep them coming.

this does not work from Bing image search - you need to find your image, then go to the website and then copy. Google image search will only work if you view the image in full size - then it can be copied.

I've been wondering about this since I've gotten my pre. Thanks!

Doesn't work for me. I keep getting an error called ERROR SAVING IMAGE: There was an error saving the selected image. I can get as far as "copy to photos" but it won't complete the next step. Am I doing something wrong?

Can you tell me (1) the site you are on, (2) the picture you are trying to save, and (3) what webOS version you are on?

I mean seriously... has it gotten that boring around here we actually have to mention how to save an image from a website??

Wow! Thats just amazing! lol...

Im seriously looking forward for some new Palm info from HP/Palm cuz this 'Just to pass time' stuff is rediculous! lol...

Yeah H-Cubed, wouldn't the world be a nicer place if everyone was as smart as you? Why, I bet even you A S S is smart! This isn't just YOUR forum douche bag. Give others your great knowledge if your so up on things rather than bashing other people's efforts to help others. Otherwise, just shut the f**k up and do your twittering someplace else!

wow twittering?? and not to forget to mention "Why, I bet even you A S S is smart!" obviously I am alot smarter than you! Furthermore, I was not downplaying the people who did not know about these features but rather the lack of news here...

I suggest you use the left side of your brain when you decide to reply instead of the right because obviously something aint workin... get it together because I am not impressed. Just because you can capitilize a few letters does not mean that you are making any sense... peon...

Get it together!

Nice tip.

I gotta say i like the way the iPhone does this better than palm. It's an extra step to have to open up my keyboard, hold a button then tap the screen to save. Vs. the just tap and hold to save approach.

cool beans. did not know that

One problem, it won't save GIF images, only JPEG. Don't know about PNG.

@janter, Blazer used to have that ability, but it disappeared from the WebOS browser.

I reallyreallyreally want Opera Mobile/Mini for WebOS. I will fly to Norway and threaten the coding team with nast

THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one annoyed by this artificial limitation. I collect logos from around the web, which are often in GIF format and I have to settle for screen shots. PNGs work fine, however.

@janter That is how it worked in Blazer, but it was tricky if the image was also a link.
