See additional app information in the App Catalog 10

by Adam Marks Wed, 25 Aug 2010 1:10 pm EDT

Have you even been searching the App Catalog and wondered what was the total file size of a given apps, or when it was last updated? If you go to any app within the App Catalog, you can actually tap on the app header (that shows the app and developer names) and an information bar will appear that includes the current version #, last updated date, and the total size of the file.  Simply tap on the header again to hide this information bar.  And if you want that information bar to be shown by default when you view an app, there is a patch for that!  Just install the Show App Details patch (available in Preware)

I never knew that. Thanks!
Palm... nice UI but be more intuitive please.

Agree. Palm mustn't slip on the intuitiveness of their UI, it's a big strength of theirs.

most things I figure out just by playing with my phone. I knew this, but maybe just an arrow would help and people would press it.

Nice tip! It would be nice if the user interface gave some indication that this additional info was available.

I didn't know this. It should have # downloaded too. I know there's a patch for that, but like many things, there shouldn't have to be an add on for something that makes sense t just be there.

If I knew this tip I wouldn't of installed the patch for it.
:-/

Fantastic! Thank you

I never knew that was there. It would be really nice if webOS had a gentle indicator to lead you to these features. Maybe add a little glow that phases every once in a while. After you use it a couple of times it could stop.

In Twee there is a little blush of yellow that shows up under the button that displays the tweets. It shows up when there are new tweets to read.

Something like that would be nice in webOS to indicate hidden features.

A simple addition of some dots along that line, would've indicated that there was additional info.

great tip!
