Set Calendar View Options 9
Synergy is an extremely powerful tool, allowing you to collect and display your calendars from multiple sources in a single view. However, what happens if you don't want some of your calendars to always display by default, or if you want to change what calendars you see, depending on the day or your location? Luckily, webOS allows you to easily customize your calendar views or decide to just focus on a single calendar.
To choose which calendars show by default (i.e. "All calendars" view):
-
When viewing your calendar, just tap on the button in the top right (the "ALL" button in the screenshot to the right), scroll down to the bottom and select "Calendar View Options" - Or, from within the Calendar App, swipe down from the top-left corner to bring down the Calendar Application dropdown menu, select "Preferences & Accounts", and scroll down to the bottom and tap the "Calendar View Options" button.
- On the Calendar View Options page, scroll through all you calendars and determine which ones should "Display in All Calendars View"
- Note that some calendars may not be turned off
If you only ever want to display a single calendar, regardless if it's included in the "All Calendar view", use that same dropdown from the top-right in the calendar to choose the desired calendar or "All calendars"

Thanks!
I wish there was a way to set up profiles in the calendar to display "sets" within it. Such as:
Set 1: GCal, Exchange A and Palm
Set 2: Yahoo Cal and Exchange B only
The first set could hypothetically be for your social life and events related to family/friends, and the other for work purposes. Or, useful for assistants who manage their boss' calendar (like myself ;).
Any feedback on that idea?
That would be nice. But I think the way that Google Cal is setup online is even better. With a simple toggle on the list of cals on the left of screen, each calendar is displayed or hidden.
I guess this is what your looking for, but it's almost effortless and simple in GC.
It would be a nice feature if the calendar wasn't a glacially slow POC. I'm using an EVO 4G unrooted and a Sprint pre rooted. Girlfriend has Pre unrooted and both pres take forever to load calendar, camera, etc (especially if in poor reception area. EVO with no bars: No problem. Palm seems to have become a nice doorstop after all these years of being the best on the market. Sad.
YES! Even overclocked at 1ghz my Pre+ is glacially slow when swapping from month view to day view and back. It's almost non usable b/c I keep telling customers to "hold on while my calendar comes up". I would have been done and the phone hung up if I still used my archaic Treo.
HP, you have got to pay this some attention if you ever want this device to get traction with business users. Palm OS still should be emulated in a lot of ways.
Wish you could see all of the calendar colors when in the month view like in the classic calendar. That is my biggest disappointment on the OS. Palm calendar is the main reason I got the Centro way back when.
A reply to you and a general comment re: calendar. If you use your calendar more than 'rarely', I strongly urge you to check-out the Ubercalendar patch. A bunch of the lost PalmOS features (ie: colours at the month view / titles in week view, etc..) are returned to WebOS.

Good luck
Have seen it in Preware, but never took the time to research. Goodbye, headed there now.
If only one of these patches could restore Year view, then I would be soooo happy. Especially once where a month could be selected. These homebrewers have saved the platform IMO. I would have given up on the Pre without their enhancements.
I'm back after some testing and wow! What a bunch of nice features, especially the calendar date selection tools to overcome the dumb iPhone style date selection by scrolling. The Treo (Palm OS) smokes the Pre and iPhone by using a nice cal for date selecting and "jump to" selection. UberCalendar has some GREAT features ... B U T ...
it's buuuuuggy!!! My Pre has crashed 3 times since testing calendar entries and changes. It is not happy about changing dates of events from 2 to 3 days etc, or going from a timed to all day event etc. Serious instability issues here.
A deal killer for me. Going back to OEM prison for now. Makes me sick! :-(
