Set default Email account 2
Setting up and managing multiple email accounts on a webOS device is a relatively easy task, thanks to Synergy and features like the "All Inboxes" folder. However, only one email account can be your "default" email account that all new emails will be addressed from when creating a new message from either a universal search lookup or by tapping the icon from the main folders page of the email app.
To set your default email account:
- Launch the Email App
- Swipe down from the top-left of the screen to bring down the Email Application drop-down menu and select "Preferences & Accounts
- Scroll to the bottom "DEFAULT ACCOUNT" section and tap on the existing account. A pop-up will appear allowing you to select your desired account
- Swipe back to return to email
Note that responding to an email or creating a new message from within a mail folder will always use that specific account for the "FROM" sender and not your default account. Also, you can always tap on the "FROM" row on the top of an new email message to change the sending address.
