Sprint holding Pre discussion on Facebook: Thursday, 2 PM EST/11 AM PST 13

Sprint discussion on Facebook Got some questions about the Palm Pre or Sprint? Well, I hope your Thursday mid-day is free, because Sprint is going to be holding a live discussion on Facebook about the Palm Pre. What exactly they’ll be discussing (apart from the Pre) is unknown, but the talking is sure to be full of how great Sprint is and why they’re the perfect network for the Pre, and so on. Remember the disappointing “webinar” back in March? Who knows, maybe we’ll learn something new, but we wouldn’t count on it. So if you’re free on Thursday at 2 PM EST/11 AM PST, head on over to Facebook and check it out.

Sprint's holding a discussion about the Pre on Facebook? How about how they discuss putting Facebook on the Pre? lol!

hahahahaha :)

yea the facebook mobile site looks and runs very well on the pre!! I think I can cope with the mobile site until an app comes out.

Cope with the mobile site? A facebook app will look almost identical. Besides you can go to the actual Facebook.com site and it looks identical to the desktop version, which is way better than any app.

It's too small. The pinch and zoom gets after about 3 sites

Do you have a Facebook app on your PC / Laptop? ;-)

Don't have the pre now (GSM...), but isn't the Facebook website good accessible thu the pre's browser?

LOL. Word.

How does this facebook event get sync'd with my PRE?

Just select to attend the event and it will automatically post to your Pre as long as facebook is one of your calenders.

For some reason, when I rsvp for the event on FB, it shows up at 5pm on my Pre, when it should be 2pm (I'm in EDT). So beware! I suspect it's a timezone issue.

maybe they're going to announce the date for the next update?

I hope someone remind them about tethering and ask why they went back on their word as far as letting people tether to the pre, I suspect the problem its not with sprint rather the phone itself since don't think sprint really care they carry many phones that does this already... my old cheap LG lotus would tether just fine for an extra $15 a month.

Fab, we can find out when we'll get an update, and address the worst parts of the phone. : )
