Telus Redux: Pre and Pixi in January 2010 8

Palm Pre and Palm Pixi

We’ve heard this before, but the folks at MobileSyrup have reconfirmed what we've heard from before: the Pre and Pixi are coming to Telus in January 2010. Although Telus (like Bell, now) runs both CDMA and GSM networks, we're devoutly hopeful that Telus will opt for the GSM variety of the Pre and, well, the Pixi too. With both Verizon and Telus coming on board in January, it'll be like Palm's second North American coming-out party.

Wooo... but seriously, give us the paid app catalog.

January will be awesome. In addition to widespread webOS distribution, we'll probably be getting 1.4 also!

By February/March, I think webOS will finally have reached maturity. Can't wait to see Gen2 (in June?) build upon that even further.

Well, "Year of the Palm" all depends on Apple, as tired as this argument is.

Palm needs to come forward with something almost as huge and surprising as last year for webOS 2.0 and its host devices.

One thing is for sure, however. 2010 H1 will be the "6 Months of the Palm"! :D

Should I forget my "Pre for all of Europe for end of 2009" hopes, and focus on "Europe for start of 2011"?

Maybe I'll be able to have non-trial version of app catalog apps by then.

I'm so tired of non-US pre owners being second class.

This is what i have been waiting for as a telus subscriber but they better get an hspa version,. I believe telus sand bell support hspa not gsm. All i want is a sim card baby, and i will say bye bye to my blackberry curve. Or better yet maybe there will be a hspa pre II, one can dream

You are correct, Telus and Bell's shiny new network bypassed 2G GSM technology in favour of 3.5G HSPA+.

I guess people just can't get past saying "HSPA" instead of the simpler "GSM".

I'm sticking with Bell for the foreseeable future due to the fact that I get both unlimited data and 50% off my plan price. $100 plan at $50 FTW!!
