Tip: Manage your Sprint Navigation Addresses on your Desktop 33
There's a very nice webportal you can access from your desktop in order to add and manage the addresses you have saved in Sprint Navigation: http://sprint.com/navigation. Just head there and punch in your phone number and PIN. Don't know your PIN? You can request they send it to you, but chances are unless you've changed it, it's simply the last 4 digits of your phone number.
On the desktop site you can click the "Add Addresses" tab to insert addresses which are then automatically synced to Sprint Navigation on your Pre under "My Favorites." The "Manage Addresses" tab lets you do just that, removing addresses you don't want cluttering up your favorites. "Get Maps and More" allows you to view maps right there on your desktop from your favorites -- it's nowhere near as nice as Google Maps, but it's there if you need it.
So if you're planning a trip, you can punch in all the places you want to visit and have them ready to tap when you are actually on your trip -- all from the comfort of your desktop browser.
We feel compelled to point out that other tab - "Change Settings." Hit that tab and change your PIN, kids. Otherwise some ne'er-do-well who happens to know your phone number and the fact that you own a Pre could go in there very easily and mess around with your Sprint Navigation favorites. They could view your saved addresses, delete them (!), and add others in a childish attempt to embarrass you by having shady bars and the like listed in your favorites.

Yeah I've used the Telenav's site directly. It gives quite a bit of control. It even lets you import contacts straight from your hotmail, gmail, yahoo, and aol accounts. The Gmail import hasn't been working for me lately, but the hotmail one went through easily.

I can't seem to login or get it to send me my pin. Anyone else having problems?
The pin will be sent to the email address you entered when you first used Sprint Navigation. I thought it would come as a text message, since it asked for the phone number, but it doesn't :) Mine was NOT the last 4 digits of my phone number, btw, it was something completely random (which suits me fine).
I was disappointed none of the favorites I already have entered in the phone show up on the desktop site. I guess its only a one-way push?
try going to the Favorites page and clicking the refresh icon (circular arrow)... that may bring them in.
From your Pre: Start Sprint Navigation -> Share & More -> About -> Your Pin
I needed to enter my email address on that settings web page before I could see the Change Pin button.
Thanks, i was going mad trying to log in
i tried getting my PIN through the sprint website and i got nothing. Go to the telenav website and they'll send you a SMS if you don't have an email setup.

I got "The phone number not exist." Ummm...wrong?
I've tried both Sprint and TeleNav sites and whether it's my Sprint PIN, the last four digits of my phone # or the PIN listed in the SprintNav app, none of them work and trying to have the number sent to me fails on both sites.
Yep...I ran into this a week ago (by mistake) and it work great.
Using the TeleNav website will allow you to import contacts that you have on Yahoo, AOL or Gmail (though for me when I attempt to use Gmail, Im getting a service not currently available message, though the others work).
I am getting the same. Why did they bother putting in the gmail.com domain if they know its not ready. Stupid IMO
God I love this website... nothing but gold. Thanks for the tip... it makes Sprint Nav even more fun!
Wish my Garmin had this functionality
Why shouldn't it be able to use the contacts that are on our phones?
It doesn't make sense to keep two address books up to date.
any word on a Garmin or Tom Tom app?
Ya might consider checking a Garmin or Tom Tom forum for that. THIS is a Palm Pre forum..
There is a 'My Telenav' Google Toolbar button.
Lets say there is an address in a website you wish to drive to. Simply highlight the address, click the Google toolbar button and it'll take you to your Telenav site. Save the address is pasted there automatically. Simply save it and sync your Sprint Navigation from your device.
The address is http://www.telenav.com/support/plugins/. I've been using for some time (pre PRe. I was carrying a Blackberry) and it works well. The only drawback is it doesn't open a new window or tab when it goes to the telenav site.
What I'd like to see is the ability to go Sprint navigation instead of Google maps when I tap an address in my contacts on my Pre.
I also get the "Your phone number does not exist" response. Would porting in a number make the difference? Quite frustrating .
Well in fact it does, I logged in with my old number, however it still ports the address into my new number and phone so I'm not too upset I suppose.
THANK YOU!!! Based on your hint, I dug out my paperwork and tried logging in with my original, pre-ported, phone number and I got in. Too bad I've got to now remember a number that I never knew. Lame.
Nice info...thanks!
