Touchstone is For Sale Now? 17
The Pre isn't even for sale yet, but it seems that the Touchstone can be bought right now at some Sprint stores.
artap99, an everythingpre forum member, is on the waiting list for the Pre at his local Sprint store. He got a call from the store today letting him know that everything will be on a first come, first serve basis. Plus, they are already selling the Pre accessories.
So naturally artap99 drove over to his Sprint store to check things out, and he was able to buy a Touchstone and the back cover for $49.99. The price is supposed to be $70 for both items, but artap99 was told by more than one sales person that the price was $49.99, so that's what he ended up paying.
If you're planning on buying a Pre, why not call up your local Sprint store and see if they're already carrying the Pre accessories? It sure wouldn't hurt to pick up a Touchstone ahead of time and be ready for your new baby when you bring it home.

Saw one of these puppies in action yesterday and it works great... the store I was at when scanned came up 69.99 so looks like brotherman up top might have gotten hooked up.... can't wait till saturday.....

LUCKY! My store said they do have them in stock but won't be putting them out till June 6th. He said someone in Portland almost got fired for it. :(

Yeah feel ya! My friend is an advocate for the Pre and said prepare for a krazy saturday! That TouchStone is some alien technology! Can't wait!
I've had a toothbrush for almost a year now that does inductive charging. I thought it was pretty cool when I seen it, but I don't see why companies haven't been using this technology already...
the coolest part is the bottom is sticky and it won't come off the desk when you pull it off...
I don't understand why still why this device is so great..I mean it's a charger right? Whats the difference between this and plugging it into the regular wall charger.
Other than the novelty of how it works what is so great about it?
Sprint stores are not suppose to sell any Pre or accessories until Saturday or their job may be at risk.

One other point....
The retail price is $69.99. The reciept shows a price override.
The normal Sprint discount for accessories is 25% with purchase of new phone???
With a 25% discount of $69.99 price should be $52.49 not $49.99
I hope the sale could be justified as a "mistake"

I have a feeling that the salesperson isn't going to be very popular with Sprint management. I think I know which store this is (5min from me) so I may stop by at lunch.
