Twee: A New Beta Twitter App For The Palm Pre 28

Twee, a new Twitter application for the Palm Pre, is currently available as an open beta. It has a decidedly TouchFlo feel to the UI that we're digging (one-touch to get to replies = win) and has some other unique features, though in some cases it's not quite as fully-featured as the other two.

We're also fond of the local search (see who's twittering around you) and quick shortcuts to Trends, Twiturly, and url shortening, but we're hoping for more photo options beyond Tweetphoto.

You'll need to be able to install homebrew apps to install it, but if you're a Twitter fiend, a third option is nice to have.

This needs it's own page in the Homebrew section with a link to their site. Tip Calculator and other homebrews do the same thing.

I find Twitter very useful. Gathering information from the 'net has been compared to trying to drink from a firehose. Twitter's 140 character restriction makes it much easier to take small sips. If you're a wine aficionado, Kevin Zraly's Twitter feed provides small, useful, digestible tidbits about wine.

If you tried it and you didn't find it particularly valuable, then so be it, but there's no need to dismiss something that a great many people find useful. To each his or her own.

I look forward to trying all the Twitter apps for the Pre once I get mine in September.

Twee just seems like it has too much stuff on the page. The bubble titlebar and the header for the Tweets list could be combined to same some space.

I like all three, it is hard just to choose one. I show a little more favor to Spaz because the dev seems like a great guy that will take the time and answer any question that you have. You can follow him @spaz or @funkatron. But, all three do different things, yet serve the same purpose.

since the sdk is out now, could this be re-packaged as a standard "sideloading" application? (no rooting)
