Updated Angry Birds, new Astraware games hinted at on Twitter 40
If you haven't already joined the webOS discussion on Twitter, here is one more reason to do so: info on upcoming app releases, direct from the developers. Today, the teasers come from Rovio (creators of PDK Hot Apps grand prize winner Angry Birds) and Astraware (which has already ported a number of its newer games to webOS).
First, we saw the following back and forth between Twitter user M_Osborn19 and RovioMobile:

I would definitely buy Bejeweled.
Alas, Bejeweled is owned by PopCap games, not Astraware, unfortunately. Would love Bejeweled on my Pre Plus too!

Astraware licensed it to release it on Palm OS. It would probably be easy for them to license it again for webOS.

I had sent in a tip on this also from my own discussion with RovioMobile about a WebOS Angry Birds Update. :}
f$@k rovio, the full version of angry birds in the android market is free and updated to 1.4 i think. screw them why do we still have to pay.
For the money they got from hot apps, they could pay for 50,000 to download the app at their current price. Would be nice if they returned the favor at the very least by making it free. Feature parity would be good as well...
I'd rather pay $2 than have ads like the Android version has.
Angry Birds update please.. I have 3stars on every level and unlocked every gold egg.... Did that in a few days of the game release.. Now I just go through and try beating highscores..
Mind sharing some hints on the golden eggs, pretty please?
Youtube has videos on how to get 3 stars on every level and how to get all the golden eggs. Thats what I did. lol.
And I agree with the 1st post. I want Bejeweled on my Pre too (not "2").
some dude posted it on youtube how to get all eggs.. A couple of them you have to zoom out and you will see it.. The trickiest one is on the level with the rocket shipped shaped building... The egg is off screen above the tip of the rocket.
About time that Angry Birds gets an update. It better be on par with Android/iOS after the update...

webos|central would have been the most logical choice from the onset. Currently it's being squatted from Australia. I wonder if Rob has it?
Wasn't trying to suggest __Central--instead, I was going for (and obviously missing) the joke of "here at PreCentral Central," but realizing halfway how silly that sounded.

I read today about Angry Birds being updated for Android, and the update included a bunch of new levels and birds. I was a little jealous. Glad to hear we're getting the same treatment.

Rovio should release ANGRIER BIRDS, only for WebOS.

Tradewinds 2 is in the app catalog with todays date. I guess thats the astraware app they are talking about. I was wanting bejeweled. :(

Rovio.com has no mention of WebOS anywhere that I can find. Any idea why not being that Angry Birds is available for WebOS?
All good news, but someone really needs to convince Lima Sky to port over Doodle Jump.
I traded e-mails with the original creator, but he says that Lima owns the rights and that it is up to them to make a webOS version.
It's not up to them, they can license the rights if they want.
