USA.gov puts together mobile app portal 13
The United States federal government has about a billion and a half different services to offer citizens and non-citizens alike, and to assist in the offering of those services they’ve created a variety of mobile apps and websites. While no federal agency has yet released a webOS app upon the world (there are iOS and Android apps), there are still a number of mobile sites chock full of useful info in the event that you need it.
As such, USA.gov has thrown together a portal that assembles all of their mobile site and apps into one easy-to-access page: apps.usa.gov. From there you can access the mobile sites for numerous government agencies:
Alternative Fueling Station Locator
Department of State
Department of Veterans Affairs
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA)
My Food-a-Pedia (USDA nutrition facts)
Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
United States Embassies and Consulates
United States Postal Service (USPS)
USA.gov
UV Index (EPA)
Vehicle Fuel Economy
Hopefully soon enough we'll have some webOS apps to better handle the services the mobile sites provide. Until then, these should prove to be handy enough in the requisite pinch.

I would love to see a gov portal where I could veto Obama, Pelosi, and the gangs profuse spending!...lol
Let's not make this into a political issue, lest we get into the numerous failings of the previous administration and the absurdities of the current repub leadership.
Rather let's just all agree that all this partisanship is completely unhealthy for the nation.
I love it how you request to not make it a political issue but make sure you get your two cents in before shutting down the political discussion, well done.
+1
Well said ewm003...and yes I probably should of kept the politics out of this posting...
Opps, I think the site is: http://m.america.gov/
apps.usa.gov goes to full page
That seems to be a separate search page, although government related.. the apps.usa.gov is the right one, just wrongly formatted for a standard full page web browser instead of a mobile browser.. typical government execution of a simple task.. FAILED AGAIN..
So, say what you will about Obama, but one thing that I think we can all agree on is that his administration is serious about using the internet as a proper tool for the dissemination of information. I like this a lot.
WOOHOO! Down with Obama! Go Ross Perot!
Wow. I read about this months ago here...

Didn't think it was news worthy on this front page.

Typical government fail.. the site to navigate the mobile apps is designed for a full size browser page..
Actually the web designers did a pretty decent job of setting up the full size page to work with a mobile browser.
